is there any web sites out there that list thc and cbd% and that are also accurate? i know barney's seed farm lists it but anyone know of any others? someone should make a website that lists potency of different strains.

it varies so much by growing conditions, and real testing isn't cheap. It's unfortunate how few breeders actually do test their strains so at least we know what things might be capable of, but these things are things you have to know about to read properly (for instance a high CBD content can have to do with harvesting practice as much as genetics). Anyway, I agree it would be nice to have some sort of a benchmark :)

LOL, I'm thinking that the THC, CBD, etc., ratings you see from growers and seed banks are a lot like the "gas mileage" claims from auto makers, a tad suspicious! Good luck & good grow.......BB

so how would i go about testing thc? what kind of equipment do i need? where do i get started reading and such? i suppose any strain could be high in CBDs. just let it mature longer than normal and the thc will break down into CBDs right? so would the variables be genetics, maturity, and environment? i probably could get about a grand to spend on equipment if i really decide to get into it. i dunno though, if i do any upgrading i think i'll add CO2 supplementing. i imagine that thc testing equipment may be in the several thousand dollar range. i'd really like to get into experimenting more though. i have a very big passion for growing and researching marijuana. im actually a non profit caregiver right now. im not in it for money. im in it for free smoke for me and my patients, to gain even more experience, a fun hobby, to learn new things, and share knowledge with other growers. also to help show people to be honest, humble, and just be generally good human beings cause a lot of scum bag stoners out there give other stoners who are kind honest folk a bad name.
