Where to dry buds?

I just want to know if I can dry my buds in my grow tent while my other plants are finishing up. I haven't started the grow yet, but I just want to know beforehand. Using some CFLs and a 6 inch fan on three plants. I've never grown more than one plant at a time so I've never had to think about these kinds of issues before. Also, how necessary is it do give your plants a dark period? I always have before, but now that I'm growing multiple plants I'm not sure I'll be able to since I'm growing different strains together and assuming they will finish at different times. Any advice? Would be much appreciated

If you have a plastic tote, make some holes along the bottom, these will be the air intake holes, cut a round hole in the lid and install a small fan that will pull the air out, put a charcoal filter in the fan opening , this way there will be no smell. You can either put strings to hang branches or put a screen halfway in to lay the buds on, the air will flow in from the holes in the bottom, around the buds and out by the fan, no smell.
