where to buy mason jars...?

anybody? about to cut down and am looking for a good amount of mason jars, not sure what size i should be using? any tips mucho appreciated ;) :eyesmoke:

youre local grocery store should have them...safeway & vons carry Ball Brand which are the best IMO...usually sold in 12 packs

dont need to boil if youre gonna be opening them up daily to circulate to get a nice cure...for storage make sure to boil those lids though

In the fall all grocery store will have them for preserves...or any hardware year round... boiling is just to prevent food poisoning.. n/a here...

Oh thanks for clarifying that boil issue. I use the jars to store my goods but I don't get a air tight seal. I read that if you are storing it for a long period then boil the lid and you would get an air tight seal. If thats not the case, how do you get the lids to pop down?

To get the cap to "pop" you boil the whole jar once filled but i wouldnt do that with weed it might be too hot and melt your crystals?? Im not sure but i now thats how you get the lid to pop! Its called jarring and canning you can google it

Actually, you heat the jars and lids, separately, then screw the hot lids on hot jars. As the jar and lids cool, the lids will 'pop', indicating a seal. My mom canned a lot, back in the day. I hated canning.

thanks but i got a 12 pack at vons for like $15 + tax.. it was exactly wat i was looking for, got the last 1 the manager got em after i checked out after thats what i went there for.. lol i was baked what can i say. anyways Ball Brand... +rep for u whoever told me that, gonna loook back :)

Nope i just double checked you boil the jar with the lid on it on thus causing the vaccum and sealing the lid then you tighten down the ring .i knew when we did tomato gravy we put the full jars in the boiling water! Oh yeah and dont forget the heat might not be good for weed!!
