Where can i get Y splitters in the uk?

hey everyone, i went to my local DIY store in search of some Y splitters for my cfls only to be told thier illegal to sell? is it me or is this women chattin shit lol.
so i continued to try thorns homebase maplin etc but still no luck, are they not availible in the uk?

thanks anyway iceman put an end to my pointless searching, guess ill have to just do it with multiple plugs and sockets ?

fucking hell im in UK we cant get em, same with the plug in bulb things, its because we are 240v or whatever fucking UK always have to be difficult.
