Where can I get RSO Rick Simpson Oil: Cancer

Hi, I am in Southern California. My mom has fast spreading cancer. She wants to try RSO with chemo. My collective sells cannabis tinctures, but I fear this may be an inferior product as it only costs $18. I'm not sure we're on the same page. RSO should cost a lot due to the use of 1lb of quality bud.

Is there a suitable replacement for RSO?

Thanks

yes, they both said "Rick what?" Then they offered me a tincture or bhang bar.. They obviously don't get it. They must be smoking too much of their own shatter. :)

Why should it cost a lot because it uses a pound of cannabis? You are buying a weight/volume, not the net product created by that pound of cannabis.

And why a pound? Every recipe can be scaled.

Why not just buy some hash oil and eat it? You don't need a naphtha extract. I've never been clear on why a gasoline additive would cure cancer.
i agree. i'm about as far as one can get from knowing a lot about hash and it's practices, other than from what i read on here in the concentrate sections, but what little i do know, it seems that most of the pro's on this site seem to think that rick simpson oil is a much poorer product than other extraction methods do to it's use of naptha..

I do an ever clear extraction, then concentrate it and titrate glycerine till dissolved completely.

A couple drops underneath the tongue and you're golden. Or mix with food, coffee, or drops on a cigarette...

There's so many extraction options available. Its quite amazing

lemme just say that a glycerine tincture is a wonderful thing. but it really shouldn't be smoked, it decomposes at such temps to carcinogenic and irritating compounds (acrolein)
osha says .1 ppm over an 8 hour period is the "permissible exposure limit"
it is also the leading cause of lung cancer among cigarettes

The tinctures I make I ingest orally.

I use them on days where I need to be out and about and don't want to smell like smoke.

When I'm out and about, and a friend wants a pick me up, I've always been happy to oblige. But now that I know this I'll be doing a short instructional with them to educate them.

Most of my friends will probably say that they're already smoking a cig and for me to put more cancer on their cancer...

Thanks quizoking for the info! Now I know

The reason that solvents are used in the making of RSO is that it extracts ALL of the essential oils not just the parts that are psychoactive (get you high). In making RSO you also utilize the entire plant with the exception of the roots. It is the synergy between ALL of the naturally occurring chemicals that activate your own endocannabinoid system that helps to restore homeostasis which is the healthy balance a well functioning organism strives to achieve. Don't confuse specific concentrates and their effects with whole plant extracts, there is nothing wrong with any of the methods but it is NOT RSO. I will however side with the naysayers on the use of naptha as a solvent. My mentor swears by it but I have never used anything but grain alcohol as I feel it is safer. I believe that solvent removal no matter how complete will still leave some residue and I would rather be safe than sorry. In addition I make oil exclusively for cancer patients whose immune systems and bodies are already compromised and they deserve the best chance they can get which means the cleanest medicine.

Yes, I say go with the grain alcohol. It's expensive, but compared to the cost of the plant material it's not much and how can we put a price on curing someone.

I plan to make RSO when some of my plants finish. Right now I am just using store bought indica buds to make a tincture. I ground the material then decarbed for 20 minutes @ 275 degrees then put it in a glass jar and covered with Bacardi 151 and popped it back into the freezer. I'll shake it for a few days then filter the material and maybe evaporate some of the alcohol. Hoping it works out and also hoping I don't overdo it as the only way to know the potency is to try it.

I'm glad we're having this conversation though. I think there are many ways that concentrates can help us.

I know groups of growers that will give it to you if that is the case. Find a good collective and talk to them. Maybe they will help. Good Luck.

Caretaker, I am looking for RSO for a friend who was just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, do you have a website or can I please get your contact info.
I am having a problem finding pure RSO with nothing added
