When to transplant these?

Been working on my first grow with some bag seed, and everything seems to be going alright :P Although for the past couple days growth seems to have slowed down. I've been searching all over the place, I can't find any good info on when to first Transplant. I'm thinking they may be slowing up do to root bind.

Got some pics here, any input on when I should transplant these would be highly appreciated :-P

(The soil is fills about two 3rds of the cup)

You def got to re-pot. They are not going to grow any more while in the pots they are. Its hard to see your roots when growing in them cups, they are good but I prefer to start off in rockwall cubes so its easy to see when the roots are developing, personal choice though.

Put 'em in 3 gallon pots. They won't grow any more in those cups and some of them might be root-bound. I use Fox Farm Ocean Forest with about 20% perlite.

right now. if you look at the bottom of the cup where you made drainage holes youll start to see the roots coming to the bottom. thats when you want to up the size. they probably have the roots to the bottom by now. youll see em comin towards the holes, not sure if they follow the light or what. but as a rule of thumb i usually repot mine into 5 gallons or more at the 3rd set of fans.

Well I managed to transplant the 3 biggest plants into they're new, final homes! But have run out of soil for the rest :( Gonna have to handle them tomorrow.

Anyways, the 3 bigger ones were in fact root bound :O
Now they're all asleep, as according to the 18/6 schedule I've had them on. Is this good or bad? Do they prefer more light or darkness after a transplant? And should I expect a slow growth period while they adjust to the new home?

Keep the light schedule thats fine, I have heard rumors of roots developing more at night anyway but I don't know that as a matter of fact. I would just say its best to keep them on the schedule your using so as to not change things to much and reduce the chances of shock. You may have little growth at first but this will soon change, say within 3-5 days when they have recovered from the transplant, if you done the transplant well and reduced the amount of stress you put the plant under as much as possible then growth could continue as normal.

Best of luck

it won't matter, you'll be fine. next time use clear cups and when you see good root development, which for me is about 7-10 days from sprout, transplant into your final container...
