I am not sure how experienced a grower you are, but, if you do get a male, I'd take it somewhere far away from your confirmed females and grow the male out just to see how one grows.

Crossing can always be fun. You can always just fertilize a few buds here and there for some seeds if you wanted. I grew one out in summer to just see how they grow out but then collected pollen anyways.
