When to switch to flower nutrients with autos?

So I’m on my first set of autoflowers and am still learning how to handle the differences.

I’m used to switching to 12/12 and starting flower/bloom nutrients about 2 weeks after the switch once they’ve stretched.

With autos, do you begin switching the nutrients when you noticed the autos starting to flower? Shortly after?

They aren’t close to flowering.. I’m asking when should I feed with bloom nutrients instead of veg nutrients with autos.

You’re saying just wait until it shows signs that it needs more phosphorus and potassium?

I am growing my first autos as well.
I plan on once I see pistils, using the next two weeks to transition to a flowering ratio. Transition being the keyword. Slow.
If you wait until you see P,K defs you will be behind the curve, but keep looking at them all the time to catch anything that might be going on.
If that helps at all.

Just gotta be careful. You don't have much time with autos

That’s what I was thinking. Waiting to see negative signs is a bad idea. This does give me an idea. Thanks!

Careful in what way? As in not to give too much?

Instead of switching nutes around with autos, you can try just feeding the same nute profile all the way, and supplement nitrogen in veg.

Then, when you feel it's appropriate, just cut out the (extra) nitrogen and carry on. You can even add pk if you want later.

No so much careful as in just know ya don't have much time to work with to transition any nutes

Well right now I only have BioThrive from General Organics. Veg is 4-3-3 and Bloom is 2-4-4.

ive grown autos for 9 years, as soon as i see signs of flowering, in goes the bloom nutes, start of light, 1st 2 or 3 feeds i increase slowly, then boom, 10 mm every 2 litres, whenever required , i tend to back off on the veg food in the last couple weeks also, but we do it our own way, this has always worked for me, remember , autos require LESS generally speaking than NON autos.

when you see pistals developing you can feed grow nutes for the next 2 weeks they are still growing and then move to flower nutrients.
