I switched from cfl to 400w hps on 2/13. This is my first grow and I guess I'm getting impatient or don't fully understand how long the flowering process takes... I was hoping some of you more experienced growers could take a look at my pictures/video and tell me when I should stop giving nutrients and maybe a harvest window time... I know these are hard questions to answer through pics but any advice would be awesome!

Day 58 flowering (42 days using cfl)
I should a few pics in another thread about my yellow/rust colored leaves and received good feed back but that was a week ago
I have a 30x jeweler loupe and it looks like all trichomes are clear but hard to tell for a noob grower like me... Any help greatly appreciated

.... Sorry about picture quality...had to use flash and it blocked the bud pics... Maybe to hard to determine an answer

Looks about ready to me. But get another opinion im new. And I had to get a 100 and 200x scope to be able to really see the triches good enough.

So hard to tell. Take a pic at night tonight with the flash on. Always gives a clear pic. Or just no flash. I would say they are close within the next week or so. But again im new

Ya from what I can tell the trichomes look clear but maybe I just can't really tell.... Still alot of white hairs but I keep reading to not go by the hairs but by the trichomes... Should I stop nutes now then and just start giving water

Some people say don't flush. I flush for just a few days but I do hydro. If it were my plant j would start the flush in a day or two and I would think it would be ready to harvest in a week from now. The buds looks good and knobby. Just a lot of white hairs. You checking the trichomes on the acual bud right? And from lots of different places on the plant. Picked mine at 90% clouded, 5% Amber, 5% clear. And it was a strong indica dominant hybrid and I love the high at this timing of harvest. What's the strain? Defitly take ur time it looks real good

Thanks... It's Ak48... Supposed to be 48 days flowering (Ya right) Ya I've seen it both ways flush or don't flush.... So maybe I'll try what you suggested... Was checking trichomes on the bud (sugar) leaves when lights turn on in the morning I'll check on the buds! Ya another week would be around 65 days and from what I've read that is about ripe... It seems like it shoots out hairs so fast then slows way the he'll down while it's swelling... Guess it doesn't help to check on my plants 10 times a day either

Good job too
Thanks.... I'm trying out some LST for next grow. .. Getting impatient because I have 4 in my closet that have been waiting to start flowering but no room in the tent... Yet... They are in 3 gallon pots.. Didn't really want to go to 5 gallon but if these 3 in the tent take another 2 weeks I should probably transplant one more time before flowering .... Right? Or do you think they will be okay to veg 2 more weeks and then straight to flower in the 3 gallon pots?

Looking good!

You don't need to flush with the soil you are using--it won't make a difference. Hydro I go straight water for the last week.

A slow dry is the most important thing to chronic nice smelling and tasting weed. Flushing is an old myth and a waste of time for anything other than sick plants.

Enjoy the harvest boss!

Also, you can Lst the first little bit of harvest when they really start to stretch. Great way to even up the canopy and increase yields

OK so I cut a little tester off and tried to get a decent picture... How many more days/weeks you guys think till I should cut?
When I first put these girls into flower I let 2 grow wild no pruning at all... And the other I tried LST but untied when I switched the light... I will take your advice and keep LST the first couple weeks of flower tell after the stretch... I think LST will yeild more than 1 main cola and a few littler ones... We'll at least I hope so because I've been tying up my veg plants for last 2 weeks!

It is hard to tell from pictures but they look like they could be chopped to me. I always go with what the trichs are telling me but by picture those look good to go
