When to start flowering?

This is my first grow, and I am wondering how tall I should let the plant grow be before I make it flower? Right now the plant is about 6 inches tall and very healthy. Thanks.

Growing indoors, alot of things come into play, time frame growing, yeild and so on, we all worry about that. A nice quick grow is uaually considered best. You can veg for a long time if you want, and time is not an issue, however, I veg for about one month, after 4-5 nodes minimum have formed and I have a plant that is about 12" tall. This way you end up with a decent sized, managable plant. (mine, right now are about 36" tall) prior to harvest.

A node is a place along the main stem where branches emerge. Its like each level of a small building, the leaves start 2 by 2 on the same levels.
I hope this helps.

hey thanks a lot, that helps. But just out of curiousity, is it normal that my plant already has 5 nodes and is only a half foot tall? And so when I do start flowering is it true the plant doubles in size?

Ganzy, that is quite normal. the plant will usually atleast double in size, sometimes even more.

Ganzy, good luck with it!
David, are they 12" tall yet too? How old are they?
the tallest one is like 10". the others are like 5-7 though. i have 4. should i wait until they're all about 12"?

i got them already growing. so i dont really know how old they are.

the little one in the pill bottle is broken piece that came with them, so my my is re-rooting it or w/e

David, wait for 12" than go for it. But, what kinda light are you using, and how far away from the tops is it?
You should place something under the smaller plants to help create an "even" canopy.
