when to hit with nutes? straight coco

even in coco? it has no nutritional value just meant as a medium to the plant i didn't do anything prior to seedlings being in coco it's just normal coco that i flushed out until the water ran clear let it dry out completely for a couple day's then did a small amount presoak with normal water in the soil before throwing the germinated seeds in

No if you are straight coco you need to start giving nuts as soon as the fist leaves start coming in. it's used it's stored nutes. there is nothing in coco it's inert. if he does feed it ito will die it won't make it to the 5th node Wtf lol.

@OP start with seedling strength hydro nutes and you Need Need Cal mag

thanks. and that's what i figured because coco doesn't have value on it's own i use it for reptiles just because i know it doesn't have shit in it lol

I prime my coco with seedling strength nutes from the beginning. No reason at all to hold back nutes if you grow in coco. Makes no sense.

I would say nutrients as the first leaves come in would be too much at that point especially if you just transplanted into a bigger pot. Of course provide PH'd water in the meantime but it would wait till the plant has been able to establish itself before going with nutes. Also I would recommend growing in a Coco perlite mix. With straight coco, the medium tends to get tightly packed, making it hard for the plants to breath.

I have been growing in coco for years and using the KISS method so I don't know the ppm. 1/4 teaspoon per gallon as soon as they sprout, 1/2 teaspoon per gal. after 2 weeks, full strength at 4 weeks. Always pH'd to 5.8.

It's just going to get nasty....your medium is inert means little to no benificial bacteria or any kind of nutrients. soil has its own mini eco system of bacteria to break down all that shithe so your plant an use it. Coco lacks this so you make it up by using more easily used nutes aka hydro nutes and bacteria...se

Also to add to the organic conversation, the organic in ff line is the most likely one to go out of date on you. I've had more than one bottle go bad and have to be thrown out. It's kinda hard to tell if your in dirt, but in hydro it makes a f,ing mess.
