When to harvest?

This year is my first outdoor grow. I believe they are 5 weeks into flower but not exactly sure when they started. Looking great, super healthy, do I look at trichs like for indoor? Wait for the first frost? I have heard many things and do not know what it the best route to take.

They do look healthy. Good job and congrats!

They are still a long way from harvest. You might be halfway through? I've been told by an experienced grower that outdoors takes longer than 8 weeks and it seems to be true. I would suggest to keep your plants going at least another 4 weeks

Even indoor. I barley see anything ready at 8 weeks. 10 weeks is usually a good go to time.

outside. I always aim October

Probably a month. It all depends on your latitude and the strain. Weather plays a big role as well. Check every day at the end for mold. Good luck.

Dont let the frost stop you. Most plants can take a frost its the hard freeze that gets you. Having a fan helps.

I dont mean to hijack thread but I have a pertinent question.

It looks like a Indica plant to me. I have an original #1 skunk that looks exactly like your plant in pic #1 that I have going in mid coast Maine. Just as full and tall. Probably looking at late October to finish. To resident experts would it be wise for us to start trimming the excess foliage for air flow and prevent excess moisture build up around the buds? There are plenty of flower sites on his plant as like mine. 2nd outdoor grow here.
