when to give up on my seeds

I planted my seeds straight to the soil, it's foxfarm ocean forrest.

2 out 7 seeds have grown out and began seedling stage. it's been about a week or more now. When should I give up on the other seeds and bring new seeds but this time try to successfully germinate them.
 
also i'm keeping the lights on 24/7 as they are autos. i'm using HLG v2 550, but I see that the 2 seeds that have grown out are the furthest from the light. Should I try a 18/6 cycle?
 
about 2 inches deep.

I tried putting them in a paper towel only 1 cracked. I soaked them in a water glass for 18 hours than a paper towel for 2 days.

Can I take them out the soil and try the paper towel method again? Do I have to soak them again? Thats if I didn't lose them in the soil.

I don't agree.......all that does is add another thing to fuck up.

2" is way to deep.

I put them on paper towel and wait 5 days or so and then put them in medium. I wouldn't bother with the soak. Not enough oxygen in the water.

I would wait now and change next time....

Better still take cuts from the 2 that worked and grow from curtings

They are auto seeds
 
I have more seeds lefts. I guess i'll wait another week hoping for something to grow, if not i'll germinate the whole zip bag paper towel method.
 
Nature is hard to predict. How deep down did you place them? And you haven't poured water directly on top of them i hope. It can push your seeds down too far if its a heavy stream

I have 100% success with most seeds like this. Had a dodge batch recently where none cracked. But I didn't have to waste 14 days and loads of space wwaiting for them
 
I use the Mephisto seeds method for germination. toilet paper, an empty cd case, and a towel or t shirt to wrap the case. I must admit, it works awesome

pictures would be nice but to me it seems you gave too much light, might have cooked those beans
