When to flush?

Hello everyone! I just want to know at what point in flowering do you want to start flushing? I have read that it is when the trichs and turning milky but I was wondering if you can tell based upon the hairs turning red? Thanks to everyone in advance!

I was going to tell you to flush after you poop but I see you tricked me.

Flush any time you want to clean the plant out.

Your gonna get a lot of different answers as to when the right time is to flush before you harvest. I assume that is what you mean. If I were using soil, I would flush maybe last 3 waterings before you chop it down. That is me though, and I use hydro instead of soil so I flush for last 2 days.

I had this same question and know it's somewhat difficult to find an answer. I finally asked fdd, who would know about as well as anybody, and he said when the pistils(hairs) are 50% brown it is time to start flushing. I followed his advice for my first grow and it turned out great. I had a magnifier to double-check with my trichs and sure enough, when 50% of the hairs were brown, trichs were starting to turn cloudy. When every last one of my hairs had turned brown, my trichs were 20% cloudy, 80% amber -> time for harvest. So I'm sure it varies a little strain to strain but the hairs should be a pretty good guide for you.:peace:

Most people flush the last week of the grow in soil, some peeps don't flush at all, some flush for 3 weeks, some flush every other week. Grow the same plants 10 times or so and you start to know what they like and don't like.

well, you can not flush them now and just water cure them after you chop them, but if you plan to sell, then water curing decreases weight, but increases potency
