Just wondering when I should flip this over.. It's been veg for 5 weeks today but I did fim it so 4 weeks.
I don't really want to wait another 5ish weeks for the screen to fill but could.

fim isnt -1 week form vegg.

You want to use the net in the first 2 weeks of flower, and let it grow freely after. So that in mind, you shouldnt flower until your plants touch/reach the net. However you can lower ur net if u want to. If that is your only plant and you are not in a rush, id let it veg for a while.

I don't know much about scrog but I thought you wanted the screen to fill and place your tops in the screen so they grow out of it neat and not all bunched up, seems you can either lower the screen so you only have to wait another 1-2 weeks for it to grow into or you can wait a month or two and get a real nice grow

Thanks for both replys.
Might let her go for a week or so and see how much height she gains.. It's not really getting any taller.. Been that height for some time.

My plant was the same way, check your night temps as that was my issue. My night temps go below 55F lots of times and my plant just stopped growing (Almost completely) I didn't notice growth till I fixed the issue then it shot up like crazy.

Drop your screen so you can start working the tops through and bending them over and tying to the screen. Raising the lighting will help them stretch a bit and help you out. Fill the screen 50-70% and flip. once flipped tie down the stretch for the first 1.5 weeks and then let them grow vertical off the screen. Good healthy plant you have there. Just be patient and it will pay off.

Stoneslacker has a great flat scrog journal to look at. I do a combined vertical/flat scrog myself. Good luck man.

Hi, thankyou all for the quick replys.

I guess the question was is it normal to wait over 5 weeks for a scrog?
This is only my second grow also.
My night temps don't go below 15 degrees, which is around 60, it normally stays around 65 or 70 depending on how hot it is outside. It's just started summer here.
I guess I can lower or raise the plant to my screen, there is a 10 inch gap from dirt to screen, is that too much?

it is normal to veg for a while wit a scrog. I am less than 6" from my screen. The earlier you work the plant into the screen the earlier you can flip. You can also force a larger plant into a screen, this is what I do since my next round vegges for almost 10weeks while my others flower. Make sense? If not look in my journal. Stoneslackers journal will help too.

Oh right, so I could be another 4 weeks of veg Lol.
I only have the one plant and one grow space for personal use.
Might raise my plant to the screen a few inches so I can start filling it and raise my lights a bit also do it'll stretch cause everything is so bloody dense, nodes are stacked on top of each other..

yes. if you let it stretch a touch and force it into the screen you will end up happier. It is super healthy though and short node distance (stacking) is a good sign. Just get it in the screen and filled about 60% with an indica like that and you will be really happy in a few months or so. :)

Hey! youre fine leaving it at 10 inches but you can lower it if you want to fill your screen faster - it all depends on how long you plan on vegging

fill it about 70 percent before you switch to 12/12 then wait about a week and neaten out your sites. youll be in great shape!!!

good luck!

Thankyou. Yes it looks very healthy to me to which is surprising Haha.
I will lift the lights a touch.. How far do you think? 90w led and two 24w cfls?
Thank you all for your posts to.

however far away you are now just double it. That should help get it to stretch a bit. Some indicas stack nodes more than others. LEDs tend to do this too. I dont think you will have to veg another 5 weeks though. If you get that girl into the screen and veg another couple I bet it would be ready. ;) It will be worth all your work and patience though if you take your time. :-)

Awesome! Thanks, lifting the lights won't affect yeild or anything will it?
I'm looking forward to putting her into flower!

You need to use a diffrernt screen material. The chicken wire will actually cut into your stems once the plant stretches. Change it now if you can.

I know it's not ideal but it's all I have at the moment, I have some plastic screen stuff but the holes are only 1.5 inch square.
Hopefully it shouldn't cut into them, it's not real thin wire.

Wtf. Chicken wire will. Not cut your plants unless you intend to tie them down tight. Stop spreading BS.
