When to add bloom nutes

I have a few plants growing outdoors. 2 of them are budding already. I was told to continue using veg nutes and hopefully the plant will go back to its veg stage.

My question is, when should I add bloom nutes? Do I add once I start the 12/12 light cycle or do I add it when the buds start to form? Do I totally discontinue the veg nutes when I start the bloom or do I gradually decrease the veg nutes while gradually increasing the bloom nutes? Thanks in advance.

when you start flowering(12/12) switch to bloom nutes straight away.
and discontinue vegging nutes completely as of now.
and why would you want to put the back into vegg state :confused:.

It is all opinionated. But you would be safe adding bloom nutes when you start seeing buds form. I would probably start as soon as my plants start flowering though. Not much of a difference. Were talking very low %s here as the plant will have plenty of time to absorb nutrients as the buds grow.

its not opinionated its factuall.
if the plant is flowering it needs bloom/flowering nutes its not rocket science.

I was told by a few people on this forum to continue using veg nutes and try to give it more light to put the plants back to veg. I moved the 2 plants to help them get a little more sun.

I had a feeling that I should have given my 2 budding plants bloom nutes when I started to see the cluster of white hairs. Well at least I now know to give them bloom nutes when I see the first signs of buds for my next grow.

Use your veg nuits until you know their sex, once you see their sex ie male/female then start to use your bloom nuits.
If plants get 12/12 light and dark they flower, you can put them back into veg anytime you want but not with nuits, with longer light periods, ''summer'' they grow with lots of light, ''winter'' they bloom-flower due to the lack of light, ie winter is on its way.

I think it is odd that 2 out of my 6 plants has flowered already. The other four are still vegging. They have shown their pre-flowers and they are all female.

I thought that if I continued to give grow nutes until the plants started to show signs of flowering, I could let the plant grow bigger and maybe increase yield. So your saying that I should give the other four bloom nutes also?

If you want them to grow bigger thats done through more light 18/6 not giving them veg-nuits, you cant have both worlds.
Its either veging under 18 hrs of light 6 in the dark getting veg nuits and growing,
or its in the dark 12hrs and under the light 12 hours blooming with bloom nuits,
but its still best IMO to give veg nuits even in 12/12 till they show sex,
When they show sex ''female hopefully'' you start feeding them the bloom, then in the last 2 weeks of their life just give them water (flushing)
are you sure you have all females ? and you started them all at the same time ? cos they should all be showing sex at the same time, give or take a couple of days.

your plant/plants will only go back to veg when they get an increase in light, it wont go into veg cos your giving it ''veg nuits'' it responds to light, how much or how little its getting.

I knew that light and not nutes will keep a plant in the veg stage. I was just curious as to why two of my plants are budding already. I have tried to put the two budding plants in a part of the yard where they will get the most sun but it seems that the buds are getting bigger.

All of my Northern Lights plants were started and planted at the same time except one which is the smaller of the 6 and is growing nicely. I gues I will let these two run its course and get an early harvest.

When you took your cuttings, did you have them inside on 18/6? I Allways veg my outdoor clones at 16/8 so when you put them outside in may june, it is the same light cycle. All my plants outside start to flower in mid august.Give your bloom nutes then. Outside it dosen't reach 12/12 till sep 25. Weird right? Im done flowering by then.

I started the plants from 10 seeds. I had the seedlings under floros with a light cycle of 16/8. Four were males and I immediately pulled them. I thought that my plants would be vegging until August but these 2 plants have been showing signs of flowers for several weeks already.

I guess I will give the 2 budding plants bloom nutes and the others grow nutes until August or until they start to bud up also.

I tried to grow several months ago in doors but it turned out to be a disaster. This is my first real grow. So far everthing has been going great except these 2 plants budding early had me stumped.

Anything you have thats budding good id be giving bloom nuits till complete, they look good, its a strange one, as you know in this game there is no rules, best of luck.

I just started to give the 2 plants bloom nutes? I wonder how much bigger the buds would have been if I would have started giving the plants bloom nutes from the first sign of flowers. I should have gone with my gut and started feeding those two plants bloom nutes weeks ago instead of listening to the advice of a couple of forum members. I hope that the delay in feeding the plants bloom nutes won't significantly decrease my yield.

Thanks for the info guys I really appreciate it. Now I have to read up on harvesting and curring.

Oh, one quick question about flushing. I read somewhere that you should flush with (I think its) 3 times the container capacity at least 2 weeks before harvest. Is that 3 times the container capacity over the 2 week flushing period?

Just give them what they need when they want it, ie when they are thirsty, last 2 weeks just plain water if and when needed, just pour till you get a little run off, its better to have them standing in a tray, as the plant can draw up from the tray what it missed on the way down the pot when you poured, they can suck up the run off in 20 mins standing, whats left in the tray after that time they dont want as she is full, then just let the pot go almost dry and repeat till she's ready to harvest.
