When should someone harvest indica to give off a more of a cerebral/head high?

Ok, so a guy I know is growing an indica strain called bubblelicious. He's wondering when he should harvest (like what certain signs to look for) so that he'll get a high that is somewhat like a sativa's head high. The dude didn't want to get a sativa strain as its easier to be spotted...

From what I've read you should get a 30x magnifying glass. Check out your trichomes toward the end of flowering and wait for them to get milky white.

If they turn amber you missed your window and are stuck with couch lock.

But that's not so bad. Good luck. :hump:

He has to harvest the plant when the trichomes on the plant are milky white for the most heady high. Still wont be anything like a sativa though.

I see... but would harvesting the plant when just milky white decrease the weight of the yield incomparison to waiting for the plant's trichomes to turn amber in color?

Maybe slightly, as the buds would fill out a little more if you waited longer.

Make your choices accordingly. :hump:

No, but when you're looking at the value of the bud harvesting it early to get a headier high will miss out of the full power the plant was meant to have had you let it ripen all the way.

All right, so would it be better if its harvested in between milky white and amberish color for the trichomes? I read somewhere that when its harvested like that it would be a good/interesting smoke when done with an indica strain... Anybody have thoughts about that?
