Im picking up my clones in a couple of days from a clone nursery by my house.I have some t5 enough for the 8 clones im getting,I know they will be ready to go with good root structure already. So when can i put them under my 1000 watt hps and can i use it for growth stage.I was going to let them get 12 inches high before i switch to 18/6 but im not sure if i can use the hps for the growth stage. If i can maybe i will bet a couple more clones when i go.And if i do use it will they grow faster under the hps or is it to much for my little babies.:leaf:

Depends on what bulb you using. If it is a dual spectrum bulb you can use it right through your grow. I put my week old seedlings straight under my 600w hps with no ill effects. If the clones are well rooted and healthy, i would give them a week under the t5s then put them under your hps.

You could potentially grow (veg) with the hps as long as its not set on a 12/12 schedule. If you're looking for bigger plants, then veg until you get about half of the height you want, because once you set the timer for 12/12 you'll usually double in size by harvest. I just wait until my clones root and I throw them into flowering without vegging at all, works great

If i put them right into flowering how much less will i get when i harvest. And what about the nutes would i just go directly to week 5 or 6 on the foxfarm growth chart. And how tall would they reach and how much bud do you get of one plant after its all dried.Sorry for so my questions but i would love to got straight to the flowering stage if it works better.

Let them get used to it a little at a time; a couple hours the first day, then half days... just as you would if moving them outdoors.

Once they're acclimated, and thriving, go 12/12
