When PH-ing water...

Hey guys

So iv got a question..

When you PH your water - in my case lowering the PH..

Why does the PH climb slightly when sitting still. I.E when you agitate the water and re test it with a blue labs soil ph pen the reading is lower. In my case its 6.2.

If I leave the water standing and measure it later - like an hour or so later. It reads 7.1?

In this case which reading do you use? Am i correct in saying my water is perfect as you measure its lowest number which is 6.2.

Many thanks

you are technically supposed to scoop out a sample to take your ph reading. Doing it in agitated water can cause inaccurate readings.

Minerals in the water like Ca are buffering the pH back up. What are you using for pH down?
