When lights are off... Can plant have like 2 mins of light

Say u are on 12/12 and light is off, can the plant have any light for even a 5 minute period or does it need to stay completely dark?

I asked a similar question, I was having to refill my cool mist humidifier right in the middle of the 12/12 dark period. I did it in almost total darkness but there was some light from it being morning. They were getting no more light than the moon would put on a plant outdoors. My plants havnt hermied and still look great. I wouldn't think a little light at the beginning of or at the end of your dark period would effect anything. But we will see what the pros say. I would not be worried about it as long as your achieving total darkness the rest of the dark period.

dark. that 5 min once a month ok . but once a week not good . once a day they will herm . and depends on how strong the light is . if its a light bulb in the room for get it to strong. if its just mild light where its hard to see it will be ok . if your having to go into the room you can buy green light bulbs use those then the 5 min would not matter because plants don't see the color green . but don't for get to turn them off. if plants don't see green it should be fine but a friend told me he for go to turn the green lights off and they herm , so best to never have any light ever there sleeping. but if no choice green . you should be fine . experts say green lamps are safe for plants.

Yea but would it matter if its at the beginning of the dark period? If it was at the beginning or end of the dark period, you would just be shortening the dark period by 2 minutes.

You could go in 5 or 10 mins before lights off or after , with no ill effects.

It's how most of us get good pics if using an hps.

You can't wait till lights come back on? Humidity would be fine for 12 hrs until you can refill when lights are back on.

If your replying to me filling my humidifier, I didn't have a question. I was just using that as a similiar situation. I have been battling low humidity and have to refill multiple times a day just to keepy humidiry about 20%. Hasn't caused me any issues but I def need the humidifier. It also lowers my temps qhen lights are on so I can run my vent fan on low. I also don't go into the room mid dark period I just top it off before lights out and its fine until I get home.
