new at growing, and i want to waste as little time as possible. so i was just wondering when is the earliest i can force flower on a 12/12 cycle so i can kill my males?

i used the search on rollitup but that comes back with so many nonrelated posts and threads. so i figure i would ask.

Forcing the plant to sex too early stresses the plant will result in reduced yield.

What is your hurry? Growing takes time.

i didn't know. i just don't want to waste the space and the time and nutes and everything on something i am going to kill.

but if it stresses it that much i probably won't do it. since i will be taking clones i don't want the dna of the clone to have stress or at least as little stress as possible. i hear the stress carries over in the dna? not sure if that true, but it makes sense kinda.

Considering 40% of your seedlings will be male, that philosophy does not compute. You must allow the plant to develop as if it is female until it shows you it is a male.

Give them time to develop. If you want to take clones, you want to take it from a vigorous plant, not a runt.

Males show sex first. Take your clones after that.

If time is a factor, go with a strain known for speedy harvests, like a Lowryder deriviative strain (cloning auto-flower strains is highly impractical). You will trade yield for speed, but they produce good smoke.

Good luck!
