I have a harvest that i have already dried upside down for 4 days. Now i've been curing for about a week, burping 4 times a day with the buds out the jar and i'm wondering on what texture im looking for to know when its smokable. Right now its spongy and hairy but doesn't break apart easily, should it be brittle or sticky? Here is a pic

Are you using a hygrometer in the curing jar? I plan on two weeks in the jar after 1-2 weeks hanging to dry (hanging on plant). I would think you should be ok now but it will continue to cure and improve over the coming months. It is possible that you are not quite dry enough, 4 days seems pretty short but I am new to this as well.

The cure is up to you there is no set time for the cure to be done... Its is good in my opinion to cure at least 2 weeks -1 month but thats my opinion..
I know people who smoke as soon as it dries ( I have done this ).
My conclusion with the dry and cure is , It is Very Important that the place where you are drying ur plant Can Not be too dry ,to moist or too hot....
If its too hot & dry it will dry out too quick and you'll be left with hay , if its too moist it will retain too much moisture and possibly mold...
Try and keep the temps and rh consistant where you will be drying...
Good luck!

If you dried your buds right you do not need to keep opening the jars. your defeating the purpose of curing. Theres gasses that build up in the jars that are needed to cure your bud
& make it better. A 2 month cure is what I do. i set some aside to smoke while keeping jars closed. Only burp if your buds havent tried properly
