When is last call for outdoor flowering?

In Southern California?

Recently acquired some new seeds, hoping to at least sex and find some keepers.

However, I want to give them a good veg time. When's the absolute latest that I need to put them outside?
Nov 1? Or am I already too late?

Or are there not enough daylight hours to flower through December? How will plants respond to only 10 hours of light? (ripen faster, smaller buds? or no difference?)

And when is the earliest possible for starting veg outdoors?

i asked this question like a month ago, some ppl said i was too late.
im also in socal.

however, i'm still going to try it for myself and i suggest you do too. I'll be using clones though, not seeds.

Im nearly shure you can flower outdoors in winter in SoCal. Dont get me wrong im not from there but i dont think it freezes in the winter.

Hopefully someone else with more experience on the matter could give you better advice.

Yea can anyone explain why I couldn't? Is it due to amount of light or temperature?

cus I thought as far as light is concerned I'll be fine with a constant 12 hours decreasing to 10 hours by December..

Last year it didn't get that cold but there are those odd super chilly nights once in a while that could result in glazed over windshields, will that kill plants?

If I have them in pots I could just bring them in at night right?

I would say go for it, fuck the chilly nights once it doesnt freeze you will be fine. As for the 10 hours of light, 2 hours off the recomended doesage? Not a bother.

id say go for it to just remember that a samller plant will prolly freaze faster then a larger plant just keep a eye on on the weather and if its gonna be real cold put a bag over them that night

Ok so if that is the case when is the latest that I could put them out for 8-9 week strains?
I was shooting for Nov1 but when do daylight hours start increasing again? middle of january?

If I can veg them to 15-20 inches they'll be at least 3 feet by end of stretch.

I also have some Space Bomb going, this strain gets done in as little as 45 days!

Yep I'm veggin them now, but I have some that just barely sprouted. Will they hermie on me if they sense the hours of daylight increasing? Or am I fine if it doesn't increase past 12-14 hours daylight?

still got an unanswered question:

Will they hermie on me if they sense the hours of daylight increasing after Dec 21 (or whenever the date is)?
Or am I fine if it doesn't increase past 12-14 hours daylight?

Not an expert but I believe they would eventually start to re-veg with the days getting longer.

I'd at least recommend a small ventilated greenhouse of some sort. California winters are mild but we do get rain and those occasions of week or two long drizzles which would quickly rot any ripening buds.
