When is it too much?

I've recently started my first hydro grow, and I'm needing to know-
when nutes are added, how long does it take before the plants reflect the nute changes. I'm wanting to pump up the volume of my nitrogen nute for growth, and I'm wondering as I add, how long will it take for the plant to show if I over/under fertilized. I've evidently not added too much, yet. The plants are very healthy (in seedling stage), and I want to keep them that way.
I know that some plants don't handle nutes as well as others, so I want to know what to look for, and want to know how fast these changes show up.

I have seen it take as long as 3 days to notice changes. Keep in mind that yellow leaves will not recover. You will see the results in the new growth.

Good info on that chart, also if you do change nute mixtures use your scope to check the very ends of the leaves each day after the results will show up on the scope before you see it with your eyes. Nute burn is common for first timers so by doing this you can flush before the issue destroys your plant. I would also suggest to go light you can always add but can not take it back. Also as a rule I flushed and washed, with soap and water, every two weeks during veg and every week during flower. U of course use more nutes this way, having to remix, but it maintains a great enviorment.

Ahaa! Never thought of using my scope for that, thanks! I always start low on the fert scale, even lower on this hydro gro. Being my "cherry", I didn't want to zap 'em right off the bat. I've gradually added low amounts over the course of a week after setting the seedling, and it did very well, after a brief adjustment to it's new home. Now, I'm up to about up to where that chart shows it should be. It's a northern Lights, indica dominate, and can handle heavy nutes pretty well- basing this on my outside MONSTER mother. But it can take several days before it starts showing any changes, being in soil. And, I know that many sativas are very sensitive, and knowing about how long it takes to start showing up, and better yet, a better way to look for changes, I should be able to adjust accordingly.
Thanks!!!
