So i have a Pineapple Express Auto that's 25 days old, I'm growing here under a Mars Hydro 300w light. (I know not the best for flowering)
I'm not sure on here height i'd have to go measure, im guessing 10'', idk if this is normal, she could be on the short size do to the light, also the light was 8'' above her (i setup the light well high i thought it looked good i should of measured better) so maybe she didn't see the need to get much taller, i raised the light and its about 15'' above her now. Anyway on to my main question, she is i believe in the early stages of actually flowering i can see a few white hairs at on one of the nodes, but the other branches are not getting much light because of the big fan leaves. I know people cut these off near harvest time but when the earliest you can remove them, i don't wanna stunt her grown or stress her out but i think the other branches which will have colas need more light. As i said shes only about 10'' so i never really tried to LST on her. I uploaded a couple pics to show kind of what i mean. their is 3 levels so far of big leaves bottom middle and top, i was thinking of cutting the bottom and middle fan leaves off, what you think. I'll try and get more pics of her.

I'm not looking for major yields, this is just a plant i started last month for something to do, kind of a lazy grow also i need to get new nutes and another light for my next indoor grow in the fall. i like having a plant growing its a fun hobby. My main plants will be grown outside.

I personally think at this stage it would cause more harm than good at this young of a stage. The plant feeds on those big guys. When you have double the size the plant has more to feed from hence defoliation. But for now I'd say chill and give it another 4 weeks or more prior to chopping off fan leafs.

Kind of figured, i never tell people to cut the big ones yet some do anyway, thought i was missing out on something lol

It depends on if you are a fan of defoliation, if you plan to cut on your plant then let it get a little bigger before taking any

i'll pick a couple off if they're really blocking a lot of light. i try to tuck them down so the stuff under them gets light without removing them, but they tend to pop back into place...if they won't stay tucked i'll take them off. but only the ones that are really blocking a lot of light to the growth under them...
once you get into flower, i do about the same, if they're laying right on top of other leaves, they go, if they're blocking more light than they are catching, they go, if they're growing inwards and blocking air flow, they go...not "defoliation"...judicious pruning...
