when is a good time to start cloning?

need to know so i can make plans to get a new set up ready once i begin to clone one of my girls. need to know on average how long it takes before you can start cutting clones off mother plant and whats the cheapiest best way to clone? is cloning gel necessary?

:-)
you get out what you put in, buy cheap stuff you will get subpar product. growing cloning isnt a fast endeavour, its takes patience and some skill.

every plant is different and there is no set rule when to take clones, I wait till the 4th branch on my vegetative plant.

wait for alternating internodes and you can clone.. by then theshoots or branches will be ready for propagating...
