Hey what's up RIU, well I just have a Queston??? I was wondering when do u actually start counting the days of flowering. I have been counting from the 1st day I've seen enough white hairs then I start counting. Or do I start counting from the 1st day I put her in flower (12-12)? how do u do it? Thanks...

No flowering is counted from the first day you put your plants on the 12/12 cycle. You should start seeing sex around day 12-14 depending on strain.

Not to hijack, but this should be helpful to you as much as me:

IF I saw my white hairs on the THIRD DAY of flowering after 30 day veg, should I have considered that third day "day 12 to 14" for myself??? Or should I still treat that like day three then? I am 30 days into flower. My plants have white and orange hairs, about 50/50 on some buds.

Thanks in advance. GREAT Bagseed for me.

dude fuck that regardless if you switch it to flower the plant will show pre flowers at the growth node (white hair). The actual flowering time is from when you cut your light down to 12/12 after that start counting days

Well, for me personally, I moved my plants into the bloom room the night of March 31st. On April 1st when my Bloom Light came on, that was considered Day 1 for me. Today is May 10th so I count it as Day 40 for me. I was told that on Day 60, that's when to really start checking the hairs with the 30x microscope. They will either be finished or could go a tad bit longer. *That's if your strain is a 8-9 week flower time*.

I start counting once I see some hairs...if it had hairs before the flip, then I start counting when I change the lights.

you SHOULD count when the hairs show. cause thats when she flowers? if the plant have shown sex before you switch to 12/12, you should count from switchday

i wonder how many ppl harvest early in this regard, a plant is done when its done, not when u say its done, just bc the breeder says its will finish in 60 days, doesnt make it true, as many other factors such as adequete lighting, temps and airflow, are involved,. so u start counting from 12/12 swich, do u see flowers on ur plant then, no. so y r are u counting, maybe 5-7 days later u see pistils poppin out, preflowers, still not flowering, again y are u counting there not flowering yet, and finally about another 5-7 days go by, and there are noticable small buds, THIS IS THE START OF FLOWERING, so u start counting, this still doesnt mean a supposed 60 day plant will finish 60 days on the nose, as i said their done when there done. ppl shouldnt base there harvest on a calender date, and for those counting from the 12-12 switch, do u realize ur cutting an essential 2 weeks off the plants flowering phase bc u started counting early, the last two weeks of flower being when the buds really swell and harden up, and truly finish

The day you go 12/12 is day one. then the know flower time is not exact science. You start looking if its a 8 week flower at about 7 weeks up. You make the call on the trich colors hairs and if you want a more heady high or couch lock. head highs you cut with clear or slightly milky trcihs.Body you wait for more red hairs and a more golden color trich but dont let them go to long or the tricks pop.
