When Do I Feed Her? Don't Wanna Burn

You want to hold off feeding your plant until it has taken up all the nutrients it can from the soil. Wait until the bottom leaves start turning yellow then give it nutrients high in nitrogen. My choice of nutrients during the vegetive cycle is worm castings (1-0-0) and fish emulsions (5-1-1).

Today i seen that the bottom 2 single blade leaves looked a little yellow so i started her on her first nutes today, I bought schultz all pupose plant food 10-15-10 and mixed in a few drops in a quart of water and gave her maybe 3 or 4 sprays.

Hey TXskunkKush. Just checking in about an update on your fertilizing. Have you started fertilizing yet other than those sprays? If so, how long did you wait, and did it show any signs of nute burn as a result?

Thanks,

I never had any luck in Ocean Forest, but with any good soil, it's my opinion that the plants shouldn't need anything in veg. As long as the transplants are timed correctly, they'll always have fresh, nute loaded soil to grow into. More nutes does NOT necessarily mean bigger plants faster, it usually means burned up plants and several threads in the "Plant Problems" section.

If it's a nice deep green and there's no yellowing creeping up at the bottom. Leave it the fuck alone. When you see a good amount of roots through the drain holes (or just pop the plant out and look at it), tranplant it. A week or two before flower, do your final transplant. THEN in flower, start slowly feeding a flower fert after the stretch is over. When you see just the very tips of the leaves getting crispy, back off for a watering or two and then give it some more food. The plant will tell you when it wants something.

Less is more.
