ive alwaysbn told to make sure the branch im gonna cut has a minimum of 3 nodes (roughly 5 inches anyway) and a fairly thick branch...but ive simply thought as long as it has a good set of leaves for as much light intake as possible...

i would lower it down some more hold hand under light and when u dont feel hot thats how far from plants to have it
if it was me i would go lower then your last pic like about 8 more inches and anytime u raise and lower u lights watch your plants to see how they react they will tell u if to close or to far

When and where do you clone a plant to see if it's a male of female??? How soon can this be detected???
personally i dont clone to sex,.. plants will show sex around wk 5 or 6 of veg.. some folks clone for breeding purposes.. like buy 10 seed and clone n label all so they can pick best mother. I dont do that either.. 2 much work to be breeder lol. Dont get me wrongi grow from clones to but just for qwik vegging (i hv mums) ..Not for sexing or breeding

I was told to bloom the plant to see the sex. I wanted a clone off it first in case it was female. I know it's gonna be some great smoke cuz I got only 5 seeds out of a QP of some killer Chronic!!!

AreoGarden.4.jpgI can't wait for this one either!!! I hope it a female. Big tan seed with black lines. Some other good green i had gotten.

you have to much growth u need to do some trimming so they focus on rooting like the branch on the right plant one sticking out of plug but the one in middle is too bushy

^Exactly what I was going to say. Yeah, trim some of those leaves back, and they should perk up all the way, a few hours. I would cut everything off, except the top 2 leaf sets. Just the leaves though, not the tiny branches at the nodes. They'll take off, once the plant gets bigger.

do u think there is enough to clone on the one to the left to make it
i advised him to not trim it but i think the leaves coming out of plug are going to die but didnt tell him that lol sssshhh
do u im sure u know more on the subject then me

Well, that cutting is certainly big enough to clone, but doesn't look too healthy, atm.lol If I were him. I'd cut both of those big fan leaves in half. There's a little too much surface area there, for the stem to keep hydrated. I agree, those little leaves might die, if they stay wet constantly, but I'd leave them alone, til they start looking bad. If they survive, they help the plant take off faster, once it's taken root.

Seriously bro, trim those big leaves in half, mist it a couple times, and I bet it'll look nice and perky, before you know it. The others will, as well. :)
