When do autoflowers stretch?

I just finished up an amnesia haze. No stretch at all. Ended up with an ounce. I'm done with auto's. Tried em a couple times and don't like em.

I've been growing for a long time, decades, and I know from experience that his light is too close. If he keeps it that tight he will burn the pistils and bleach the leaves.

I know this is a old feed and horned frog pay no attention to melvan. Lol he obiviously didnt understand the question. I love growing autos and like kmog33 said they are great to grow in veg tent . But in my experience autos dont really have that flower stretch like photo's do. Breeders are making it to where autos are creeping up rite beside photos as far as yield and potency. Nothing like a photo by all means. But autos are definitely fun to grow.

Autos will continue to stretch a lil past the halfway point in flower. The length of time varies per strain and per phenotype.

Using a tomato cage on a plant is a great way to have visual cues of its height. You can tell much more easily if they're still gaining height, by which "bar" on the cage they've reached, or passed.

what happens when you raise the light on an auto and give it less light than its been getting? does it affect potency or final product beacause ive been trying seed to harvest in same pot under 400 hps with no cooling and the top is nearing 24 inches from the light at day 22 and thers pistils at bud sites and nodes but not forming buds

Your going to raise the zombies. The thread is kind of old.

My autos are 14 days old and about 4 inches tall. I am getting compact low growth but growing at a great rate. My light is 16 maybe 15 inches from top of plant.
The tread was interesting I might bump my light time to 20 hours from 18
