when can i "top" my plant

Topping, when done properly, splits the colas so you get two where one would normally be (higher yields). So yes, it has a volumizing effect. I usually do it 2-3 weeks into vegging.

it will keep growing more blades per leaf as it goes until flowering where they start to drop back down to like 5 blades per leaf

this is my 2nd grow. 1st grow experiment, learning the rope you know, but those 4 plant are drying now and i only ever had 3 blade leaves. i didn't know about topping to get a better yield then but i ended up with one very nice thick buds per plant. trying to mprove the process this time. so if i never got a bigger blade leaf before and vegging 2nd grow are @ 2feet with 3blade leaves when do i top the 2nd grow. they just has about 15 leaves on now. should i let grow some more? Need advice.

i topped mine yesterday and today about the third or fourth nodes up from the bottom...but if urs alreadys is past that u just clip the very middle set of leaves that are coming out and make sure to get all of them...it will kill the growth from there but grow to new sets of leaves on the sides of it
