Yeah, I would flower now. i like the advice except for the supercrop. You can try it on some OTHER clones. Basically its all about closing the water vein in the mainstem so the the water (energy) goes to the substems (lower branches). They get taller and thus more major bud sites. You should try later on topping a plant during veg cycle,(cutting the mainstem completely off) you will see what I mean.
I prefer to just pinch them everyday or every other day. The best way if you are worried is to pinch the top right below the highest shoot. try not to pop it, but sometimes it happens. DONT TRIP, they are strong plants.
Keep the light as close as possible without burning them.(more light, more flower) A good gauge would be if the light is burning your hand, youre to close. Move the light to a distance that your hand can be under it for 10 seconds and it just barely gets warm. Usually its about 18'' depending on wether or not you have cooled hoods and glass in them. Mine are like 6" away, but I can touch my glass with my hand and you can barely feel the heat. they are vented XXL hoods. if your hood isnt vented, get a peice of glass for it. Make sure its thick enough it wont break under the heat. like at least 3/16 or 1/4 thick. i would go 1/4 it the hood will let you. The glass help deflect the heat and not the light.
Now remember this, although is harder to do when they are young its better. Do all this stuff when they are in veg stage. stop messing with them in flower stage (actaully the week or few days before) you dont want stress during flower stage. stress= less flowering= less weight.
leave them in the dark for like 18 hours before you flip them to 12/12. i usually try to do at least 18-24. it helps them go into flowering. so i usually run my lights at night, its better. but if you work early, maybe a 6pm till 6am. remember you want to water when the lights are gonna go out (unless they need it right away, then just water) its better to water when the lights are gonna shut off. they absorb better and doesnt fry the leaves if you get water on them. like not watering you lawn at 2pm in 105* heat. so whatever gives you time to work on them. mine are 10pm-10am. van check them at night before bed and time to water, etc. in the morning.
No light leaks. complete darkness. they will stretch and not flower right. NO PINHOLES OF LIGHT, NONE! make sure you close up and check in the dark.
Maybe just ph water or a lesser soultution of nutes the first watering. its usually advised
hit me up if you have more question. remember to write this shit down. untill you get the routine down. you need to refer back to your notes. and do research. read aroound the site here. if it the popular vote them its usually the right way
good luck
