When can i flower??

My plant is about 7 and 1/2 inches tall with about 5 sets of branches and has more stems growing in between. i only want a plant that is about 3ft tall. Please tell me when i can start flowering to get to 3 ft?

Depending on your light and what kind of stretch you have going on It could be 10 inches or a foot and a half, you can usually expect it to double in size while flowering

I would flip the lights right now. and depending on strain it may still be too tall. I take it your room is limited in space?

I would say it is more likely to triple in size while flowering. And it will take the plant a week or 2 to realize it is in 12-12 and start flowering, so yeah I am willing to bet they are bigger than 3 ft tall when finished.

Since this is a noob grow I doubt he knows either. I was just advising him to play it safe and flip now if there is a concern.

Is the seed from a bag of weed you bought, like some mids? Then it is most likely a sativa and should grow taller than an indica.

You can always top your plant to control height. If you are worried I would go ahead and top it ( you said there were 5 nodes, correct? There has to be 3 sets of branches before you can top.) Then wait a couple days and then flip the lights.

Is there a picture u can find that will tell me if it is indica or sativa. because i think it is indica or if i took a picture would u be able to tell??

you will probly just get a few nugs if you flower now , I put up a picture of one indica type thats only a couple feet tall but I might get an ounce or more from it. keep vegging if you want a yield. you can just tie the top down and grow more branches like I did. flowering will be about 2 months, 7 to 8 weeks, avg about 55 days, but you really should look for visual signs and the smell to change ripe then almost rotting. just about every strain has early harvest windows, you can sample some after 35 or 40 days if the plant is big enough
