What up everybody...this will be my first grow log and my 3rd indoor run. My previous runs include Raskal's White Fire from seed (DWC), C99 and Purple Diesel from clone (Coco). As you can see I've been trying out different methods. So far each has been interesting but I'm having the best success with Super Soil so far.
I cooked up Super Soil back in February and it is Sub's original recipe half the volume with with some additions at a low strength. Those additions are Kelp, Crab Meal, langbeinite, and karanja seed meal. The base was Roots, the light was a local organic soil, coco, and earth worm castings.
Now to the grow. I started 5 Ace of Spades back in February. They got their start in a roots organic, cut with earth worm castings and the local organic base. Labeled 1-5 based on when they popped and vigor. #5 was a dude lucky for me, I'm thinking based on his structure he is either full on BCS pheno or at a minimum BCS leaning. I'll be hitting my WIFI keepers with his pollen, more to come on that!
They were put in pots Feb 26 and April 2 they were put in the number 7 pots with about a 50% super soil base so they are about 8 weeks and a few days from seed. They've been topped twice giving me four main colas and if you count the lowest node shoots that makes six. A note about the final transplant, Sub spoke of the Down To Earth Soil they'd start using so I tracked down DTE soil locally. They didn't have the Pro Organic Mix but they did have another soil called "All Natural Potting Soil"...after comparing ingredients they seem very similar, seemingly only missing dolomite but I have not called to verify the total difference. That said, I used this to fill the sides and top after transplant. You can see the soil bag in the pic before I transplanted. Also, my side kick...this dude rolls in the soil, it's almost like catnip it seems.
Now to the girls! I'm just going to jump straight to pics from this morning. They had there last dose of 18/6...they will be getting 12/12 from here on out. I'm hoping to hit 4oz a plant dreaming for 5-6ozs. They are lst'd to be sprawled out and from soil to tip the larger girls are around 18".
AOS #1 - Lots of side branching and probably tallest. Showed a bit of nute sensitivity, no burn but a bit of nitrogen excess.
AOS #2 - Short, fat stems, minimal side branching.
AOS #3 - Almost exactly like #1 but the stems seem a little more hearty. Showed same nute sensitivity.
AOS #4 - The Runt...seems like a middle ground between #1 and #2
AOS #5 - The Dude
That's all for now...I'll probably do a weekly update! Next time you see them they will have had their first week of stretch! Let me know what you think and if you think my weight expectation is reasonable!
Thanks!
