The way you kids idolize these thugs then call them genius is sickening,then without fail you call us who do not enjoy listening to their spoken word (not music) to an ultra simplistic back beat racist,the only ignorance in these rap hero threads are the youngsters who do not know the difference between talent & genius.

Tupac was obviously talented at what he did,which was spoken word, not music btw but he was not a musician, nor was he a genius.

The reason i do not appreciate what they do is because they have zero musical talent,the back beat to the songs is made up of notes that a basic 1st year music school drop out could master in 10 seconds or less with a casio keyboard,while smoking crack.

The links below are of the real definetion of a musical genius,im 100% positive that nobody will watch the links as they are not filled with tough guy lyrics set to an obnoxiously loud bass track but real musical genius is what they are,not glorified thugs who sold a billion records.

but we all have different views , ok those musicians u posted are good at playing their guitars or whatever sure
but im not going to listen to them because i simply dont like the way it sounds,
i dont care if ur musician has 10 fingers on each hand and plays the guitar like better then jimi hendrix
he still wouldnt be better than 2pac in my view
i guess EVERYTHING is a matter of an opinion , it depends on what u look for in music i guess

yes everything is a matter of opinion, this is the truth. some things are a little more "factual" than others.
For instance, like someone said earlier, tupac used a persona. he was no thug, or gangster by any means. he was an actor, who acted as such.
you smoke weed, you may even drink and im sure you can even rhyme a bit (you being whomever is interpreting this post)..does this make you a gangster?

his "technique" was not new by any stretch, however his style was refreshing for some, and not for others...in short, by definitions above, he was neither..

2nd EDIT: You tell me which of the 3 descriptions he falls under, and be honest now...

PS i DO like rap. i get down with immortal technique, canibus, big L, atmosphere, brother ali, wu-tang, redman....list goes on...extensivly...but you cant find a stitch of 2pac, because i dont like what he's sellin.
