What's your take on Colin Kaepernicks refusal to stand for National Anthem

Reciting the pledge of allegiance doesn't mean you promise to align yourself with the morals and ethics of a country

It's a bullshit indoctrination technique, just like religion, that's why they target kids
Go have a kid, then you will learn that they don`t know anything at birth and think they know everything by the teens.

I don`t understand why Pampers target`s parents.

I pledge of allegiance to the flag of the united states of america.

and to the republic, for which it stands, one nation, under god, indivisible with liberty & justice for all.

simply put its agreeing with the principals of how our government is structured (((republic))),and agreeing with a set of ethics which demands " justice for all".

if being indoctrinated into demanding justice & liberty for all my fellow countrymen then count me in 100%.

the same liberty my generation demanded this generation takes advantage of every day in all aspects of their lives, right down to the drum circles in the wall street fiasco & all the shit they've pulled at the Vietnam war memorial,I've yet to see them give anything back in exchange for what we left them, cept some fires.

the (((republic ))) bit is meant 4 the insane code talker:lol:

your partially correct about " indoctrination " but not in the context your aiming for,its to put every student on a level ground with other students at the start of each day

its also a device used to teach children to have respect for something at an early age & respect authority,to most here that's an evil act but u never sat in a 1960's or 70's classroom,no thugs threatening teachers,no morons hitting teachers,no thugs terrorizing students in class & fucking up their chance to learn, the pledge is a learning tool for those of a young age to teach respect & boundrys.

take a look at any classroom in phily,Milwaukee,Detroit or Chicago & get back to me about how much better the clasrom environment has got with the anarchy allowed as normal today, they've even coined a new medical term for those maniac school kids and all because they weren't taught respect & authority,it starts with a simple pledge.

That's likely due to another fun fact; congress has voted themselves to be the only ones in the country who can legally conduct insider trading.

Seriously.

...which, you know, might even have implications for their apparent lack of ethics or morality.
I've always hated that they write the laws that exempts them. When I hear the phrase 'above the law' I think of congress, hell they're not even subjected to civilian courts.

I see it both ways. The flag wouldn't be here without veterans or Americans.

The flag is all of ours. I don't understand, as a veteran myself, why veterans get upset about this. The man used rights, that veterans fought for, to make a stand using peaceful means.
Thank you for giving me the chance to clarify; it belongs to EVERYONE, veterans included. No more or less than to any American.

The idea of freedom of speech isn't cacaphony, nor divisiveness. The idea was and remains to be free to speak and hear all the ideas, then allow people to sort the wheat from the chaff for themselves and come to a consensus that works best for everyone.

It's this idea that's been (conveniently) lost in all the screaming and finger pointing, the ugliness that drives many people away and serves to divide and conquer the rest.

Our system has been co-opted by the donor class who understand the value of a shit show on television for the purpose of hiding their activities. That's why they bought up and consolidated thousands of media outlets into only six majors, to better conduct the game of misdirection.

I'm pretty sure that's not the America you signed up to defend and I'll bet dollars to donuts it isn't what your comrades in arms did it for, either. I thank all of you for your service and sacrifice and I mean to respect the cause when I draw attention to the wrongs committed- especially those done in your name.

Let's all quit quibbling about symbols and get to the real business of reforming our government, before it's too late and those who run things without accountability drag us into yet another war for profit, likely murdering many more servicemen and women in the process.

No, it's not. I can say any number of statements, it doesn't mean I automatically agree with them

The point of the pledge is to indoctrinate a sense of American nationalism in kids from a young age. Instil the "America is the greatest!!" horseshit to preemptively quell any challenges to authority. This is legitimately damaging since these kids grow up to be adults who push the same nonsense about American exceptionalism without any evidence to support it

I once had an army vet offer to fight me for suggesting there was anything wrong with the state of our union at all. I understand his sense of pride; I also understand how misplaced it was.

Kinda like this? I don't really agree with Kokesh on a lot, but I thought this clip was interesting

I'm no fan of Kapernick... I just don't see the need for the national anthem or god bless America or noisy fighter jets to buzz the field before a sporting event...sports main attraction is no politics, race, religion etc...let the best compete and entertain the masses.

I don`t need much advise to grow, I don`t grow inside at all, so I mostly read. I read a lot about indoor growing on this site and completely changed how I once felt about the indoor guy bragging. They do some amazing shit. So once in a while I`ll post something and never in those sections ( outdoor/indoor) do I get negative feedback.

It`s common knowledge here that spelling for me has been burnt out, I freely admit that all the time. I purposely don`t use spellcheck. I also like to keep my caricature. What would an OddBall be with good spelling and math skills. My check at your spelling worked.

You get lost in my text because it`s meant to weed out. It`s my caricature to leave you to decipher what I type most of the time. You are not good at that.

Again, I never said KP went after civis, I said he should not bring his protest to the games, they (fans) do not pay to see him bitch. For him to do that will anger them and it has. That`s who he is taking it out on for free and with free TV. His choice to do and I like most think it`s not a good one.

The thing about dentists, doctors and farmers is clearly a message not to take out your problem with the police out on anyone but the police. You could not figure that out, I have to tell you. Shall I put them up and line by line explain to the simple ? Iv`e done that before.

His remarks are true, I and many others agree but will not support him if he is going to bring unwanted attention to the pastime game we love to watch.

The better way is not to get people all riled (with one L) up, it promotes violence. If you want that mile Don`t keep the Government we currently have, they are doing nothing about it like you just said. But people continue to vote for the two Party system that pushes the rational and reasonable Candidates out. Example,. Trump did not enter this Election as a Republican and clearly stated that he would not support any other should they get nominated. He had to swear allegiance to Republicans just to be one of the two.

The whole country is talking about it and most are not saying good things about him,...not what I would do or want.

Bringing your protest to every city`s police department will get more attention and not criticism. Amber alerts work because it`s a well planned out system and get`s the messages out. People respond in droves immediately and not negatively.

Acting sporadically and violently will no doubt cast a shadow on a good cause. BLM fails because the name offends anyone not Black by implying they don't think Black lives do matter to begin with, and the Violence is not wanted. Not well thought out and poorly lead. Not working well either.

Oh, I would gladly pay into that program,..no need to thank me. How was I supposed to know ?
Have you been dropped on your head? Your entire point is that KP hurt people that were not police, which is the dumbest thing I have ever heard next to people serve a flag, and not there country. A flag is a visual representation of what America stands for. How about I served the constitution, or human rights before a flag? I payed respect to a flag by rendering a hand salute. The flag that is on our uniform to identify who we are to other militaries, that's it. We don't salute our uniforms, dip shit. Just like how every other military has one, including the Iraq, Afghan, North Korean, Iranian, Russian, and Chinese army. They fight for honor, religion, and other reasons before they would fight for a flag. Shit, most people now a days serve because they need job security. Glad you know what I had served because apparently I didn't.

What kind of asshat, backwards minded moron comments about someone else's grammar, meanwhile says there's has gone to shit? Who is this MOST you speak of being upset, fox news or msnbc?

His jersey sales have gone up greatly, but you say he is flopping. He makes more money than the current starting QB for the 49er's by over 300% and isn't even starting. Damn, he is some fool.

Yet, you ramble about KP should have pointed his anger to someone else, which he shouldn't have. It was rightfully placed.

BLM only offends the ignorant. If you read into their cause for 5 minutes, you would notice they are fighting for legit issues they are faced with. People who cannot see these issues, and selfishly believe it's a racist movement are blind. Who is honestly complaining about BLM... some white people are scared because of fear of w/e, while I call it bullshit racism.

A quote from the BLM website,
" The movement hates white people. The statement “black lives matter” is not an anti-white proposition. Contained within the statement is an unspoken but implied “too,” as in “black lives matter, too,” which suggests that the statement is one of inclusion rather than exclusion." Shit, it's not even an anti-police movement...
A common misconception is that "The movement hates police officers. Police officers are people. Their lives have inherent value. This movement is not an anti-people movement; therefore it is not an anti-police-officer movement."
http://blacklivesmatter.com/11-major-misconceptions-about-the-black-lives-matter-movement/

Interesting that if you would've looked on their website you could have noticed that, yet you seem to speak for the people. I'm white, yet the BLM doesn't offend me... I guarantee there is plenty of support for BLM, and surely enough to not call it a failure.

so how's that new breed of anti Americanism been working out in k through 12 so far ?

not so good from what I see,IQ dropping sharply, violence increased to levels unseen before, teachers beaten daily, students beaten daily, smart students ridiculed into losing interest.

a huge price for small children to pay for their adults anarchist values, and a price that will almost guarantee 60% will never find meaningful employment.

not just words bro its cold fact

I think we need to bring ACORN back. It's the logical answer to the kind of institutionalized racism on public display when right wing state legislatures vote for strategies to suppress poor and minority voters.

don't know wtf acorn is but how does it apply to teaching school children respect ?

too much insanity hides behind the accusation of racism, especially when the results are proving to have utterly destroyed public schools.

that's actually the opposite of fact.

crime and violence are way down. they hit their peak under your hero reagan, whose poster no doubt hangs on the wall of that bedroom of yours, kiddo.

the dystopian picture you are trying to paint, copied directly from the playbook of trump, is simply and demonstrably false.

like all neo-nazi racist children, you are unoriginal. you spout nothing but falsehoods. your penis is tiny, and no one likes you.

please stop taking out your teenage angst on this forum, you unrepentant piece of shit.

i would second amendment you myself, but it would be horrible.
