I believe this is just want you want to do for your own grow. I grow some from clone, if I run across a plant that I truly like. There are many pros and cons for either way. I breed lots of my own seeds and I prefer to grow from seed by and large so I can see what their growth patterns are, phenos differ among the same strain so you never know what goodies you might uncover. Cloning is much cheaper than buying seeds everytime you start a new grow. Time wise I don't see that much of a difference from seeds to clones when you factor in the rooting times (lots of disagreement on this in RIU). So I think it basically comes down to which you prefer to do and how much money you want to spend on your grows. As far as homebrewer saying that a clone yields better than a plant from seed, I tend to respectfully disagree given that all conditions are equal. This might be true to some extent as with a clone you have maturity built into the clone but if you allow your seedling to mature she will yield just as well IMHO. I just enjoying watching each plant start from a seed, go through its growth and watch how she is structured. Of course doing some breeding I am need of males so if a male presents itself with the qualities I am looking for and don't have a suitable female to breed at the time cloning works magic to have a male at the time I will have the proper female ready for him. In a long winded statement try some of both, see what you like the best when you grow. You are the king of your domain when it comes to your plants. Happy Growing
