What's your opinion/experience exercising and is strain /trics dependent?

Doesn't matter what strain I smoke, I'm always completely lacking energy and motivation if I smoke before a workout. It's an extremely noticeable difference for me.

Might come down to the fact that I use it as a psychological crutch to relax or sleep. Could be behavioral patterns kicking in after a smoke, but I definitely have zero energy after smoking.

I can happily go for a hike or fishing, but as soon as I try calisthenics or weight training on weed I feel like I have a person hanging from every appendage.
Hello, have you tried to harvest an indica-type plant early? and used that? like trichs 50/50 clear-milky NO amber. I have a dutch skunk x afghan landrace 'broadleaved' type here that gives me a clear not much psychedelic high, very motivational, effect lasts 2 hours only but comes down without any tiredness or much confusion (compared to other strains), only the hunger-crave is there. This is what I use for pre-workout.

One example of experience was I came home from work at Monday and was really too tired to train. So I just rested and went to bed early. I didnt want to smoke this day having a normal sleep was restless too and just slumbered a bit. And it bugged me that I didnt observe the training plan. So after 2h or so of lying still groggy in bed I decided to smoke a bowel of this weed and after 5 minutes I dressed and made a 2h heavy workout at my home - I have a small private training room here that I use when I just can't muster the time for the club.

And there the effect of this weed was most obvious - tiredness got blown away, think coke. Muscle or joint aches are heavily reduced, brutally motivating to train into the pain, increased heart-beat rate from the smoke also - I monitor these vital functions 24/7.

But when I take an amber trich strain - it will kill the training after 20-30mins when I get tired/demotivated.
And with a 'sativa' (only THC) strain I get too confused, even paranoid, when I smoke that if cut "too early".
I cannot say what is the main cannabinoid composition on my training weed but it could be pre-cursors to THC and for sure needs to exclude CBD/CBN.

I grew said strain "Misty Kush" around 3 years, always from clone under HPS, Cree Cob LED, and outdoors in 3 different locations on an altitude of 1200m, 750m & 550m and taste, scent, budform/structure is 100% the same but the time of harvest has a major influence on the effect, length & aftermath of the high. If harvested not early it will also make me tired and then it's not suitable for training.

So it doesnt surprise me when I see growers trying to max dry harvest weight that this stuff can't be used for training, it's like dope in effect. But it's easy to just pluck a bud at any time of flower and experience the cannabinoid profile.

i love doing abs high. instead of suffering i start thinking about some random shit while doing planks and all of a sudden i hear alarm to change sides. only problem is i forget what i did soo i have to have a paper with me or something to keep me on track
I feel this in my bones! :lol:

I think this too about length of flowering and how much amber you’re looking at. I had a chem cross that was harvested on the early side of things and it was just like caffeine. Would even make me feel angry if I over indulged. I don’t tend to need hyping up so I’ve learned to avoid the early harvest even for training.

I have another variety I have a lot more experience with various harvest times. Early it can leave you feeling that same rush but let it go 12+ weeks and it’ll zone you out, make you sleepy and is way better for distraction from pain.
I’d bet this can be maximized and minimized with variety. The way it’s harvested would still make all the difference IMO.

last year i left popcorns they have water like crystals when i cut the plant(all in shadow too low) high would destroy you full on paranoja and have to do something i cant stand still. but it went away too fast. made cookies high is nice
