Whats your favorite Organic Nutrients?!?!

The nutes are all important to your grow, your plants need a well balanced diet of NPK and micro elements. So in answer to your question I start with soil made for composted material which will give me a good balance of ingredients, this brings worms into my compost pile which in turn end up in my containers throughout the grow. I add nothing to the grow except manure tea (given only when the plants show a need) and molasses given a couple times a month throughout the grow. I humbly believe that it all starts and ends with the soil, I step up my plants 3 times during the grow thereby adding fresh soil each time and in turn feeding the plants. This works for me but I must say that it does take time, you must watch your plants closely to ensure they have all the nutes they need. All of this being said I know that I am a small voice in a world that depends on what you can buy in the store but it is cheap, clean, no flushing required and my plants are all very healthy. Happy Growing

Whats your favorite organic nutrients and why?!

Im thinking about using bio bizz grown in soil

whats your opinion?

:peace:
This is the first year I have gone all organic and I gotta say I'm all about it! If you check my 'outdoor mazar' thread which is my current outdoor grow, you will see the lush green results and I have also listed all the nutes I use. It ranges from majority Advanced Nutes Organics, to Botanicare Carbs & Cal-Mag Plus, Alaska Organics, Tropical Organics, Roots Organics, Espoma Organics. I also use a lot of pellets & powders, raw earthworm castings, bone meal, blood meal, steer manure, ... There's so much you can do for your plants with organics. Just be careful of all the marketing out there! Lots of companies are marketing up there products and making crazy claims as to what their product will do for your yield/potency. Just know that 1) a lot of products out there can be replaced with cheaper competitors or raw organic sources from you local nursery or whatnot, and 2) your bud can only produce so much yield/potency as it's genetics allow, so if you're doing a good job and close to 80-90% of it's potential, there's no way these "50% larger harvests with 20% more potency" claims can be true. You simply cannot push their genetics that way.

With that in mind, I'd set a budget and start doing some research n shop around. Create some multiple scenarios and make a list (ie what would it cost for AN only, Organicare only, Humboldt only, a mixture of nutes between the three) and just price it out, look at the total product you're receiving for that price, and see what scenario will offer you the best value for the size grow you're looking to do.

My favorite organic nutrients are those contained in my grow medium, a living soil that provides all plant requirements throughout plant life cycles. A few AACT applications to nourish the soil life (about $1 each for ingredients and electricity ro brew them), water as required and zilch dependency on wild marketing claims by pricey soluble nutrient vendors.

I make my own compost and make tea with it but I also have the full Roots Organics line.

Budha Grow
Budha Bloom
Trinity
HPK
HP2
Ancient Amber
Extreme Serene

Not very expensive but will still cost around $130 for the whole lot, Roots Organics also makes a good soil but that is expensive $20 for 1.5 cu. feet.

That's amazing how many nutrients are illegal in Oregon.
While Roots Organics is not on the list!
http://www.aurorainnovations.org/aboutus.html

They have an amazing organic line.
Roots is headquartered in Eugene, Oregon. Which also means they couldn't sell their products in Oregon if their products contain pesticides and other chemical content without disclosing same on labeling.

On that note, at least two cannabis websites have declared war on spammers of Advanced Nutrients, Bio Buzz and a couple of other questionable products. It's amazing how many distributors and retailers pitch their products under the guise of being growers. One website tracked the IPs of 'growers' heavily shilling certain nutrient supplements and not surprisingly traced 12 'growers' to the same IP.

Buyer beware; if it sounds too good to be true (plants instantly showing improved growth, buds doubling in size, potency vastly increased, superior taste, etc.), it probably is.

Bio Canna nutes. Vegan & Organic. Super expensive, but the next level of organic food. Fermented plant extracts are taking over.

For those interested, here's a list of cannabis oriented fertilizers that are banned from sale in Oregon:

http://www.oregon.gov/ODA/PEST/stopsales.shtml

Yes, Advanced Nutrients and Bio Buzz are on it.

The common reason for banning is undisclosed pesticide content as unregistered or mislabeled. Products containing pesticides are permitted for sale but it must be disclosed on the labeling.
Nice find! REP REP. Notice Humboldt is registered but not on the hate list? So far I'm with them. General Organics has "mislabeled" meaning they have pesticides? Why would all these items have pesticides in them in the first place? What would be the minimum detection levels? Does Oregon actually conduct the test? Maybe this is just some big government overblown bureaucratic program ? Lets say they detect 1 ppm of a "pestiside". They require labeling to that effect for 1 lousy state? I suspect so since Oregon is so way out there. Anyone know?

Edit: My theory why many are "unregestered" is because the company doesn't want to bother with the bureaucracy, whats one state. Even Dyna-Grow hasn't registered.

What's taking over with smart organic growers are grow mediums containing natural components that produce a living soil which meets all plant requirements throughout the plant life cycle. Water as required, a couple of correctly brewed AACT applications and that's it. No supplements required.

Sha! Your system sounds great, been there done that, boring. Organics is great, veganics is greater. And the market reflects that. Do your own research hater. I just did a comparison between bbk grown in soil with bountea only versus veganics. no contest: veganics takes it every time. the dispensaries are begging for more. organics is awesome. simple systems like the one you describe are awesome, especially for busy people and newbs. but an extra 5 to 7 per p to bring in veganics, well worth it mon frier.

To get back to this thread, FAVORITE ORGANIC NUTES = BIO CANNA

Boom!

i have been using general organics GO lineup and seems to be working. I do agree with the guys that say compost and AACT's are the way to go but for indoor i dont like using compost that has been outside due to pest controll isues, dont bring them in and you dont have to worry about taking them out.

that being said i have been using the general organics GO lineup, Fox farm ocean forest/happy frog soil and ammending my soil with Espoma's "garden tone" organic fertilizer.

the main thing like others have said is to create a soil that is "alive" without this organic gardening will not take place. the plants will use up whats available but wont have any new nutrients being made available.

which reminds me, i think its time to brew up a tea....
