whats wrong with this veg cabinet?

Currently im running a 5gal bucket as a res under the cabinet. converted a planter to drain back into the res. 8" net cups filled with hydroton, 140gph pump running to (3) 180deg sprayers. 1 at the root base of each clone. lights are (2) 2ft t5's

the 2 on the left are dead... foliage is just about burt off and they stoped root production some time ago. the other on the right is slowly chugging along, it has very small roots coming out but that clone sat in a 5gal cloner for a week before its move into here and i would deff say that its very far behind.

all 3 sprayers are active *not clogged*
i dont have a ph meter at this time. was trying to hold out as long as i could before the ebb&flo grow.

Are the flouro's under the shelf all you have for that? Doesn't seem like it's enough or close enough to even keep them alive.

Also you shouldn't use clear plastic tubing like that, it lets algae grow in the feed tubes etc and only having a tiny res you can't afford algae throwing things off and eating up all the nutrients.

And is the pump just running all the time? Don't do that...

Temperature?

so what I'm thinking is that you probably are experiencing a bad case of nute burn. superthrive is very very strong stuff man. I'd suggest you flush with plain water for a day or two and then get them on some normal nutes like general hydroponics. and since they're so young, I wouldn't give them more than half strength dose for now... Good luck dude...

i don't like superthrive, but recommended dose is 1 drop per gallon, so that's fine. some folks really overdo it with no problems. you just can't grow hydro w/o a ph meter! you can get by w/o a ppm meter, but the ph is a must have.

I dont have a dripper so trying to get only a single drip out of that bottle is some difficult lol. I have all black tubing but this was un-used left overs from my last liquid cooled pc and i had all the fittings to make it work. The flowering room will be ebb&flo so when that is in full swing i will root the clones in the ebb&flo tray instead of like this.

temp 81F constant
the pump is running all the time, what schedule should it be on/off
the lights were dropped the same day i took that pic *the very first day it was built* i put them down another notch which is fairly close to the foliage.

I emptied the res just the other night and put another 2 gallons of water with a single drip of superthrive, left out the grow big this time around though. I also moved the sprayers just a bit further away than having them at the base of the clone.

here is the pics of them as of today

wasnt planning on growing hydro with out it just didnt think it was crucial this early... I will have 1 before i start the ebb&flo tray but i still got over a month before harvest

Im really stretching the funds this time of year with the holidays and all, loosing almost 2 weeks of work with all this nonsense holiday stuff

water 3x a day 20 minutes or so to start with, maybe 4-5x a day since it's 85f more as they show they need it. You're just drowning them as it is. You can have water running all the time but you need a good airstone and pump in it to feed heavily oxygenated water.

I haven't used superthrive, but I'm sure those guys are right too. It still looks like they need more light too, but they should come around as long as you get that light low enough on them and stop drowning and burning them.

word, im gunna go set that timer then. you dont think (2) 2' T5's will cut it in this tiny cabinet? I know the right plant isnt getting a LOT of light right now but thats because i have a clone on the other side in soil which gets about as much light as the 1 on the right. that clone is doing just fine as i can tell, healthy root/foliage production.

the timer goes by 15min intervals, the light is on 24/7 due to the lack of a second timer so i set it for 5 feedings total, 4 every 5 hrs and another in 4hrs

2 t5's is fine to start vegging as long as you keep them close enough to the plants. They're supposed to be something like 4" from the tops, check on that distance though, I haven't used them myself.

Just give them a couple days now, you'll see improvement. Don't starve them now that they're burnt, just go to what they are supposed to have nutrient wise and give it a little time.

Well this morning the unhealthy 2 are completely dead and the healthy 1 is starting to yellow on the edges of its leaves. I set the timer to double the amount of 15min water intervals so now there is (10) 15min waterings on a 24hr clock
