I have grown a billion plants and have never seen this..i thought maybe light burn or heat stress? The ones with the burn have been Getting mega crop nutes the last 3 weeks but only at 25% strength and I dont think its nute burn cuz it dont look like nute burn...can anyone give me some feed back? If they have seen this before?

bugz, have you cheacked for bugz?
Yeah its not a pest related issue. I am thinking its either heat stress or maybe some light burn. I just got a new grow tent and light but the light is 48" away from the canopy. So it shouldnt be light burn. But the grow tent has been getting a little hot the last few days because we have had some freakishly hot weather and after coming home from work its been spiked to the mid to high 90's. But now its cooled off again and the inline exhaust fan is installed to vent any remaining heat..i just want to make sure thats the issue and not a different issue. Like I said I have grown a zillion plants and never had issues like this.

My answer would be to put the plant under normal house lighting or by a window that gets sun light and take a picture. That hps light makes most diagnosis unreliable

That doesn’t happen overnight. Doesn’t look heat related. Looks nutrient related. Your newest leaves have too much lift and straightness to say heat caused all that. Your stems are purple. Your leaf veins are even purple and that’s bad. Signs of deficiency of phosphorus. How long have they been in those pots and what’s the soil?

Here is the new pix in daylight vs. Grow lights. I am thinking its heat stress as I had the 600 watt 24"/2' from the top of the plant canopy. And this is a brand new light as I just replaced all my old school MH/HPS ballast lights to switchable/dimable digital ballast..any input is appreciated.

Looks like the problem is starting from the bottom up which is not indicative of heat stress.

I doubt that's the light. I use a 600 watt HPS and I keep it closer than 24". Never had any issues with it being too close. As for what's wrong with your plants I would have to say it's likely something to do with the grow medium. Have you used any products other than megacrop?

It is actually all over even toward the top I guess. Seems worse lower and leaves have the nice lift up top and no curling. Idk. Confused plant if it’s heat stress but I’ve not encountered heat issues too often so maybe it shows itself in odd ways. If that’s all from heat.,it’s from long term heat. You mentioned it was hot a few days but how long do you think it’s actually been in the 90s in that tent and when did you notice the issue starting?

Hi Shay,
Just wanted to follow the thread to see final diagnosis. I also have never seen that. Your first new shot almost looks like a nute spill on the leaves...the random nature of it. But not the other shots.

Right?! Isnt it weird? And I have been only uaing the Mega Crop Nutes on that strain. Blue Cookies. Which I am also using on my Purple Kush. But I am only seeing those issues on the Blue Cookies and Bubblicious. I am thinking its heat stress in combination with light bleeching of some sort. I moved the light right up to 36" to test and so far it has stopped and all the new growth is green and healthy, still pointing upwards idicating healthy plants. I am thinking the 3 days in the 90's in the grow tent in combination with the light too close was the double damage. I added extra inline fan to vent out the extra heat and give more air flow. I will take new pictures as well. But I am going to move the light back down slowly for better penetration slowly. But I topped them a few days ago and so far all the new tops are healthy and green! Definitely weird..have never seen that in my 15 years of growing.

No other nutes besides mega crop and I have other plants in same grow medoum which is a HP Pro Mix and no issues. But all new growth is nice and healthy..

They are super green, lush and healthy! No more discolouration! I am thinking it was just the heat issue for a couple days...cuz they are looking fabulous right now. I will toss some pics up when I can.

My latest grow is an experiment with heat stress. I had some spare blue mystic autos beans, so I wanted see how much heat they can take and if they can make it to harvest. I live in the desert and my grow tent is in my garage. My tent has gotten up to the high 90s over the last week and a half and this week it’s a hundred plus outside. My tent yesterday got up to 100 degrees.108 degrees yesterday (outside) and today’s forecast is 110 and 108 tomorrow. Got 3 fans blowing along with a carbon filtered vent fan and have an evaporative cooler blowing in as an intake but only cools it down a few degrees. I’m going into the 3rd week flower, organic grow. I have some fan leaves at the bottom that look like your lower leaves but not the top.i don’t think I’ll make it harvest but I’ll see. I’ll post pictures of my leaves in a couple hours.

Here’s some pictures of what my leaves look like. Also is a picture of the temps inside the the tent at 9:00 am; garbage has not begun to heat up at this time of the day.

I don't have root rot lol do the know what your talking about..nor am I over feeding when using 1/4 - 1/2 strength of recommended dosage. Dont know what your talking about. Overwatering when they get water when they are dry to my second knuckle isn't overwatering. Next time try knowing what your talking about.
