What's wrong with my plants?

so while moving one the plants to a bucket of potting soil, i ripped the root.
would a stimulator help at all or is it dead now?

also, i added a regular lamp to the plants light sources, so ive got halogen and flourecent an inch from the plants.

When I transplanted one of my babies I messed up n cut out the whole bottom section of my 2 liter n ripped tons of roots(I was wasted when I did it, don't ask why...stupid booze plus it was my birthday..but anywho) Days later it appears to be perfectly fine and growth is still very nice... My plant was 15 days old from seed.... but judging on the size and weakness of those stems, your plant is prob a goner in my eyes, but Iam no expert.

Please dont be like this guy who doesnt listen...

take ALL the advice everybody here gives you. and like FloridaGirl said, check out the Grow Faq and lighting section! and/or wait till you have enough funds to prepare yourself for later.

Best of luck my friend!

That plant is probably toast. I've got a fully developed plant that got some root tear, and it's stopped growing at the center stem, but the nodes are sprouting fine, so I topped that plant.....but still...
The roots on a sprout can be twice the length as the plant is high, thats why it's a no-no to plant them together, it only take a couple of days to get all tangled up.........lesson learned.
As for the light...The plant will follow ANY light, they'll even bend towards a candle, but it's like trying to live on soda crackers, no vitamins, (light spectrum)
and no nute value.
If you live with parents (sorry if I wrongly assumed) tell them you've gone green, (u won't be lying) and need 2 cfl's....................as stated by others FAQ.

Well you can try using a product called Superthrive, mainly to restore a plants life after replanting, among others:peace:

if I were you i would chalk this one up as a mulligan and do some research in preparation to do things right. Its ok to not know everything there is to know about growing, b/c i myself am a noob and I have been reading for several months and still learning. But the basics are the basics, good light source, reasonable temp range, soil, and nutes and until you have enough resources to provide these things adequately, then i would hold of and research while you save. because if you just try to jump into this without enough knowledge and no money to supply the basic needs for the plant(s) then you are gonna be in a world of frustration and anguish. Good Luck

Get them in the light ! Sun light near a window, sunlight in ur backyard, cfl's, fluorescent tubes, anything... Sun light is free! I had mine in a window seal and they started off great. Much shorter and more leaves. If you get cfl's get the highest watt you can in the daylight spectrum to start. Y-splitters or 3-way splitters are great for adding bulbs, run like 2-4 off one light socket. =) Can get a lamp fixture kit at walmart for $6 or use one from home (an old stand up light that the base broke works great just take it apart and use top reflector and lamp cord/socket, pack of 2 26w 6500k cfl's for $7, and a y-splitter for $1.50. $15.00 later those plants will love you. Add 2 bulbs with 2 y-splitters for another $10.00 later on. Will be 6400 lumens for roughly $25.00. Proud sponsor of the wall =) . Can also later put into good soil. I recommend fox farm ocean mix. GL man :peace: :blsmoke:

As said before, if you have not done it already: *remove* that halogen altogether. It's not adding anything helpful, it creates WAY too much heat and is ungodly inneficient in the way it uses power. You are SO much better off with a CFL which you can get right down to an inch or so over the plants.

Peace.

We found a 4' 2 bulb cfl setup at a Goodwill for $8 which included the light bulbs. We cut up a old extention cord (with a ground) and attached to the light wires. Easy and CHEAP!
