Whats wrong with my plant?

Leaves are browning/yellowing slightly at the tip (just one so far) and the tip is also wrinkling a little like its drying out. I've been told to water less but is that really the case? i ceased using any miracle grow and have the plant within 6'' of a mixed bulb fluro thats on 20 hours a day.

any insight would be appreciated, thanks!

Yep those are supposed to die. You'll need to start feeding your plants soon, start at a lower dosage and then work your way to full strength.

oh no kiddin. what kind of indication is that of its status in the growing process?

what do you mean by feeding exactly?

It means it's using nutrients, which means it's growing well. post a pic or two of the rest of the plant, I'd like to see. Feeding it nutrients/fertilizers. You don't have any?

You have a fluorescent fixture right? The light needs to be closer, within 2-4 inches for fluorescent. I have that same thermometer :). Your temps are getting dangerously high though, it looks like around 88-90? Do you have any fans in there? Also you might want to try LST, your plants' nodes are very spaced out it it will most likely tip over in budding unles the stem is strengthened. Also, your 2 seedlings are too close together, you need them in separate pots to cut down on competition for light and nutrients. I'm not trying to rag on your grow or anything, just want you to get the most out of it.

I've got 3 fans circulating air in the room, the only constant heat source is the lamp. I have a window ac unit on the way to help regulate a better temp. I plan to transplant the two smaller ones into individual larger pots with better soil soon. Also no worries hit me with everything u can, really appreciate it.

Ill implement lst as needed if it is too weak to stand as it grows. Will probably get a few cheaper bulbs to keep near the base for more light angles.

Nice plants btw Melenius.

Thanks bro.. btw he didnt mean MORE light,he ment they are really stretcht.you must move them closer to the lamp,or they will reach 4 it..put the fan on it,then it will grow thicker stem..

ok ill put the fan in a way that there's a light breeze slightly swaying the plants.

If I were to get a 400watt hps and put it to the plants side/below it with reflectors bouncing the light up would that help keep the plant shorter?

Also if it is stretching for the light does that mean itl slow or even stop as it gets closer to it?

Thanks for all the info! I def want to give my plants the easiest and stress free life.

Side note, I have 4 plants goin in this grow. Any recommendations on additional lighting purchases that will help all the way through flowering?

For 4 plants you will probably need an HPS or change the color temp of your fluoro bulbs and add CFL's for more lighting. I only have one plant right now so I'm just using a few CFL's. Either get the HPS or keep the fluorescent fixture and add some CFL's as side lighting. A HPS for side lighting isn't using it to its full potential. Your plant will continue to grow higher even if the light is touching the bulb, but it'll fry the leaves...don't do that. I suggest you try LST, and bring the fluorescent light closer until you get your HPS if you want it. Sorry if this is incoherent or redundant...kinda stoned at the moment :eyesmoke:

Haha way to be. Ok might get a few cfls and put em around + drop the fluro. Ill look into the lst method too when I get home.
