What's up with Purple?

This is the second time i have tried Purple. Both times were diff strains and were not grown by me. Anyways it taste like dirt. For those of you who don't know what dirt taste like just go out in your backyard and get a handful I mean the high is nice and comforting but i was expecting a fruity taste.

Anyone ever have this prob?

depends on the strain... some purps are real sweet... some are real floral, some are really,... dirty =p

all i smoke and grow is purple and its never tasted like dirt, you might be smokin some weed that was left in the cold and turned purple or if your buyin on the street someboby might of died it or put carbon paper on it 2 turn it purple, just cause its the color purple dont mean its purp, im from cali we see everything out here, it does depend on the strain ive had purple that tasted like grapes, berrys, pinetrees, fruity, skunk, i aint never had it taste like dirt but i have tasted alot of light that did thats why i dont some light, if it aint purp i pass

i like a lot of purple strains myself, but you might wanna think about expanding your horizons...

i like that smooth fruity taste and that body buzz, im from the bay area out here purp is a1, if its not purp its just fire or light, fire or light 175-225 a zap, real purp 350-400, ok purp 225-300, where im from purple is it, light is just light, im sure there are alot of other yummy killer buds out there but i dont see them i see grapes and light

I'm from alaska and there ain't no purps or purple up there. Or there didn't used to be. Nowadays, people get dank out here in cali and ship it up there for profit. But back when I was living there 8, 10 years ago, only purple we saw was thunderfuck, and it was only slightly purple. So, to me purp is nice but it's a bay thang in my opinion. All my patnas in SoCal from the bay feel the same way. " Got Grapes" Hella funny. But yeah grapes is good, but so is greens. Naw mean. Chuuuuurch!

I've see some every now and again, but its rare up here.

I think most people just think purp is some exotic chronic or something...to me, its all getting smoked up so lets do it!

YOU HAVENT TRIED NO CALI GRAPES if the purple weed your smokin tastes like dirt or flowers your your not smokin no real PURPLE your smokin some purple weed, no offence but where ahead of the game in the bay you guys will step it up in time, last i heard hole 1s of cali grapes go 4 85 in georgia 85-9 in texas 85 in ny come on man everybody wants cali grapes, theres no other tree like them

i've been right in the middle of it all for years now. PURPLE SUCKS!!!! it's a gimmick and a fad. there are a thousand strains that are better.

Id rather have a good skunk weed I have to agree with fdd on this one fella's.

yeah purp here = good bud... not exactly purple.. there is lots of good buds that are considered purp

and if i was you i would not pass up any smoke... if anything it could be a learning experience on good and bad bud...

I'll say it time and time again. Purps is a bay thang. I think thats said and done. I ain't knockin purps at all. But its overrated, only the bay gives purps praise that way. I have had some killa GDP, of Mendo purps, or purple ice, and the list goes on. But the purps aint some super chronic above and beyond all. I am 90 percent sure that if you werent from or in the bay, you would not be so strongly bout the purps. Its alot of hype IMO, and I love the bay and all that, my dad from sac, so you already know. But bomb chronic is bomb chronic, and it dont gotta be purple to be bomb. You obviously havent smoked abroad, or many other place, cuz I've had bomb from alaska to virginia, and there is super fire dank everywhere. That's my take on it. And I been smokin since the 80's before purp got real big. The never ending purple debate. Smoke on. Chuuuuurch!

ive been 2 a few different states nevada,georgia,massachetts,texas,arizona, and washington,all in the last couple years opps and montana, my own experience was they said they had top notch tree but it was bammer or some ok light, georgia and florida had real bammer seeds and all, im sure theres good tree everywhere but not like cali purp, either the people i know have no lines where there at or cali weed is that much better

What does purple taste like? didn't know colors had taste, thought they were more of a visual thing.... might be wrong though....

Oh and you should defiantly move to Northern Cali, its fucking lovely up here.....
