Whats the word with molasses?

Hey guys
I been reading a little about using blackstrap molasses. I am about 4 weeks from the chop and want to start using it if its going to be a benefit in any way. I am currently feeding every 6 days with R/O water in between. Do I use this stuff with the water or with the nutes or both? I've never used this before but I'm seeing to use about a tablespoon to a gallon of water. Is that just poured into the water and dissolved? Thanks!

I've never seen any noticeable difference between the plants I've used it on, compared to those I didn't. Some people swear by it. When I did use it, I used the amount and method you described.

I mix mine with the nutes. I used to think it was to sweeten the flavor at harvest. And just used it at the end. But have since learned it is a great source of carbohydrates for the microbs in the soil as well as adds calcium, iron, potassium and magnesium for uptake, so I use it through out the flowering period now.

Its thick, sweet, very rich, and I love it in cookies .

All my dirt grows are Organic. I use it at a rate of 1 tsp per gallon of water every watering. I use the one that says Hi-Brix.Like said it feeds the soil to help the nutes work better. Doubt it changes the flaver. Hell I know guys that brag about pineapple and grape juice to feed theres and it makes it taste sweet. I cant tell.

I believe in molasses. but i use powdered molasses from RAW soluables. no gunking up my res. and pumps!

If you try to put cold/room temperature molasses into cold/room temperature water, it's just going to sit there in a lump. Stir your molasses into hot water and let it dissolve before adding it to your water or nutes.

And nothing else.

I heat mine in a small saucepanwith a little water just to loosen it up, then mix with water/nutes, then pH.

Also adding some organic soap to the water will help too

I take it you've never had a good molasses cookie then!

mallasses is like carbo load imo works great for organic grows not so much for chem. fert grows ,it will keep the soil happy not so much the plant

it s allready been stated in this threead but ya i use it as a carb boost and in teas im aerating as a food source for bacteria
