What's the trick with clones?

Hey peeps!

It's been a week or so and my clones are doing good BUT when I take the dome off of them they start to sag and the leaves hang very low near the stem. I've had to put the dome back over them to perk back up. So how the hell do my clones make it when I take the dome off? I'm worried that if I leave the dome off the will just shrivel up and die?

First time cloning so hoping someone here know's what I'm talking about. :)

your doing good just keep doing what your doing, take the dome off and then a little later put it back on and do the same again but a little longer with the dome off each time

oh I see. So I need to slowly expose them and they will make it. I searched around forever trying to find out what to do. All I was getting was "How to Clone" type vids and shit. :)

give it time to form a root mass it's more like 20 day's then start opening slowly why rush now the plant need's this time low light moist and forming root's ready to explode when it can.Leave it to do what it need's to be healthy.

All info you have here is great advice. I recently switched to aeroponic cloning, and I have a solid %100 success rate. Check out some DIY's. IMO it's the easiest, most efficient method.

Aye and bro ive never had a clone die on me sometimes they will look like complete shit but just stick with em no matter how bad they seem theyll prolly make it

You gotta wean them from the dome. When I transplant I put a baggie over them for a few days as they root out.

I agree with unlucky, you have to gradually expose them to the air, I clone in rockool cubes (small ones 1/or 1.5 inch)usually I start to see a small root showing, when that happens I raise the dome and twist it so it does'nt sit tight alowing a little air to penetrate, then gradually twist more so more air can penetrate works great for me evey time.

or never put the dome on in the first place duh. the dome creates a more contrlled enviroment but you need not worry about up top if you can get down below to root quick enough. rock wool open air thin layer of water pHed correctly you good to go, no dome maybe mist once day if you can remember but no necessary.

i have been getting 100% in a bubble cloner with rock wool, the key with rock wool it that it hugs the stem and the bottom of the stem is submerged in water just the very tip so push it all the way to the bottom of the cube or as close as possible so it sits in the water

You want to get the cover off as fast as possible without killing them. You can spray frequently at first
if they start to droop. If you keep it moist it will take them a long time to grow. Ironically mine seem
so sprout roots after I forget and let the rockwool dry out.
