Whats the trick to taking pics under HPS lighting

Whats the trick to taking a normal picture under HPS lighting? All my pictures have a reddish glow even though my eyes don't detect this when looking at the plants. I couldn't find the answer using search.

The secret is to snap pics when the lights are off. Use a softer light than the hps or you will have color issues and often black bars.

i don't know a way that they won't be funky looking with the yellow light. i do it when the light hasn't warmed up and is barely on or when going off

Adjust your white balance control for blue compensation. Then reduce the saturation through an image editor.

I just make sure the flash is set to on and and the camera set to macro and away it goes. Comes out looking great every time.
