Taking notes is never bad. Get you a decent book like the growers bible or something by a proven authority like Jorge Cervantes to cross reference. This is an open forum with lots of pros but also with alot of let's say not pros. If your writing down notes from the wrong people or just others opinions your notes are as wrong as they might have been.having a published book by a reputable author is your fall back

If no one's mentioned it, Ph down/up you'll need.
personally I'd buy ph down and bottle of silicon (si)
Silicon isn't something I'd rush out and buy but if you need to add ph up its as well to be in the form of silicon.
