What's the longest you'd wait for a gsc to germ?

GSC seeds must take a really long time to germinate. I've had a total of 4 seeds. The first one never germinated. Now I'm trying another, and after 2 days, nothing. It's in a glass of distilled water in a dark cabinet. I wondered if anyone has found these to take a really long time to germ, and how long I should wait before giving up on it. I'm starting to wonder if the seed bank even has gsc.

I'm not new to germinating and I don't usually have a problem with it. So since I haven't been able to germ any gsc, I think maybe it's the strain, which means people would know about this. But Google didn't say anything about it. I put this in the "newby" section to annoy you as little as possible with such a basic question.

I always do a wet paper towel. Fold it it a few times. Put the seed in it then folder it over once more. Put the paper towel in a ziploc bag to keep it moist. I have never failed to germ a seed this way. Sometimes it may take 4 or 5 days to germ. But never fails.

idk about this strain fatty, but maybe you could try and scuff a few to see if it helps..

some strains are known to have a hard shell and need a bit of scuffing to get things rolling... get a match book and line it with some sand paper, put the seeds in and shake it around for a few minutes to scuff up the hard shell on the seeds..
germ as normal after the scuffing.. hope that helps m8.. :D

Will do, boss, thanks for the suggestion. This sounds like a fun little project for tomorrow.

I've used a very thin razor blade and LIGHTLY scored the seem around the seem of the seed. I've only done twice over the years but, it appeared to work. Good Lucl and Happy Smoking :bigjoint:

I have this same seed in a paper towel inside a sandwich bag, like chino7564 suggested, and it's sitting on top of my wireless router to keep warm, and there's a saucer over it to keep it dark. I read seeds can take up to 12 days, although I've never had to wait that long. It's been 5 days and if it doesn't pop within the 12 days, I'll toss it and not start any more seeds this year. If the other two gsc don't pop next year when I'm able to start a new grow, I'll buy from cali connection and probably won't buy anything else from herbies. This is my second order of gsc from herbies that hasn't germinated.... all the freebies have germed but I didn't care if I got those. So far I've spent $100 to get a gsc growing and still don't have one.

Edit... F' it. I put the other two gsc into the same paper towel. I don't expect any of them to pop.

I'm looking for gsc on caliconnectionseeds.com but not seeing them .. guess I'll have to get them from attitude and see if they actually arrive.
