What’s the exact watering schedule you use?

How to create a good watering schedule without a soil sensor?
I used to follow the FloraFlex schedule. I decided to change it to try and get better results. Any suggestions? My pot is 7 liters, and I’m on day 33 of flowering.

how often do you currently water and how much volume at a time. write that down, theres your schedule. you dont need a soil sensor the top of your pot will get dry. often youll see your media shrink slightly around the edge of your pot

I water every day, 4 to 5 times a day. 150 ml for 2 minutes. Always with an interval of at least 1 hour. My VPD is on average 1.45kpa

You shouldn’t water everyday with regular soil. Watering everyday would be for coco. When I did soil I watered about every 2 days but they were in 5 gallon buckets. You should be in a bigger pot than 7 liters with soil unless you’re doing small plants

I use coconut fiber powder as soil

I'm in 5 gallon fabric pots, soil with dry amendments. They each can take about 5 to 6L every 2 days days. I've actually split that and hit them everyday with 2.5L. They're thriving! Good dry back daily, but not hydrophobic.

If you are already 33 days into flower, what makes you question your watering schedule now?

It seems late in the game to go off course for better results.

i think the question should have been worded differently. now after reading more sounds like hes into frequent fertigation with emitters using coco rather than soil prolly drain to waste hydro. unfortunately i cant give much advice on coco as ive never ran coco with emitters. however i can give this advice if things are running smoothly at 33 days into flower i wouldnt mess with anything until my next run. however there is a hydroponics section and i think theres alot of drain to waste coco growers as it seems drain to waste has beat out flood and drain tables as far as simplicity goes. goodluck man

Thanks a lot for the help, everyone! Even though I’m on day 33 of flowering, this won't be my last grow, so I’d love to level up my skills with tips from anyone who can help.

Then you are going to have to be a lot more clear on your grow. There are lots of places to learn by simply reading.

Nobody wants to play 20 questions.

Yeah if in fabric or airpots you will need to water more frequently Vs traditional plastic pots they don't dry out so fast fabric/airpots do in my experience also what your growing makes a difference as well some stuff wants to be drier than average like true hindu kushes for example

Basically, I would like to understand how you do it in your experiments. But anyway, I grow 100% indoors with coconut fiber powder and perlite, and I also use mineral fertilizers.

I water every day, 4 to 5 times a day. 150 ml for 2 minutes. Always with an interval of at least 1 hour. Always keeping the PH between 5.8-6.2. My pot is a 7-liter plastic pot. My VPD is on average 1.45kpa

When I first learned to grow the dude that helped me handed me a brown paper bag from the hydro shop with 4 bottles in it, and a schedule he wrote up for me. The 4 bottles were Flora Nova Veg, Flora Nova Bloom, Hygrozyme and Trinity. The schedule said to water as the plants need it, and alternate each watering. Water, then next time feed, water, then feed. It said for clones/seedlings use just plain water until they are established with roots, then start them with 2-3ml of the veg. One week plain water, next week 2-3ml of veg nutes. In between here and there when you use plain water, use some Hygrozyme to keep the roots healthy and flush any excess food the plant didn't use. Once the plant gets 12+ inches to teen size, start giving it 5-7ml of the veg every other week until the plants reach the size you want. Mother plants can handle 10-15ml of the veg nutes depending on size and strain. It said when you put them in flower start to work back down the amount of veg nutrients, but start using the bloom nutrients and just use the number you took away of the veg nutes and slowly every other week you start to increase the bloom from 3ml to 5ml to 10-15ml as you decrease the veg nutes until you no longer use veg. Just bloom nutes and the Hygrozyme here and there. Then about 3 weeks before harvest it said the plant should have enough bloom in it to finish so stop the bloom and begin to flush while using the Trinity..
He was running the plants in coco and when he showed me his garden his plant were small, thick and floppy like little half pound octopus flopping over the edges of the pots with bamboo everywhere trying to hold them up.. he had the best weed I ever seen!
Not sure if that is what you meant by schedule... ✌
